So long, and thanks for all the fish
It's become abundantly clear to me over the last few weeks that it's time for me to move on. I've sent my resignation as moderator to Shades and EA, as well as expressed my admiration for what they do here.
I started my journey out of Mormonism 40 years ago, and have reached a point where there is so much in my life that there really is no space for it anymore. So, I think the time I spent here is my final transition our of Mormonism. About time, I guess.
Thanks for all the good humor and the heated arguments. I learned a great deal from you folks here. For those who showed patience and kindness during my stint as moderator, I am grateful beyond words. For those who I have hurt or offended, I am very sorry.
I wish you all a happy and fulfilling life, whatever that happens to be for you. If you find yourselves in the Seattle area and want to have a beer (or a coke), please click the e-mail link in my profile.
Take care,
Res Ipsa.

I will miss you. Hopefully you can come back for a few minutes here and there.

Hey RI
Perhaps you will consider dropping by every now and then? I know I speak for more than just myself when I say that we would be interested (and care) to know how life is going for you and yours.
Best wishes friend!
Love you brother and peace,

Thank you RI for your generosity with knowledge, and for the many times you have helped me to learn something new.
Happy trails.

Hey Res,
Maybe we should start a program on MDB that rotates folks through as moderators and let the abusiveness of the job cleanse them of any lingering interest in Mormonism? :)
Some jobs are more than just thankless, and being a moderator here is one that lacks description. Thank you for taking on the weight of the mantel and doing, in my opinion, an excellent job.
On a personal note, there are few posters on this board with whom I've felt more aligned than yourself and will miss having you here as someone I've thought of as a brother in mind and spirit. Best wishes on wherever your life journey takes you next.
