I think this is the third time that you have asked me about my voting choice in this thread. Have you not seen my previous answer in the thread? I didn't vote for Trump.
Aha! So I did miss that post. My apologies; the thread has moved fast enough that I may have overlooked a page or two. I’ll reread all before I ask why you didn’t vote for Trump.

Re: Fear Of The Left.......
This thread is weird.
On the outside, there is a long-time enemy of the United States whose aim is to see American society destabilized and internally damaged. Faced with the known aims and actions of an external enemy, one would think we could step back and rally around the things that ultimately unite us rather than be overcome by this external enemy.
And yet, this thread.

Eh. Hillary has been defeated. I know she's starting to talk about 2020 but that seems very unrealistic. I don't think we have to worry about her any longer.

Prager doesn’t have much of a market in Russia to make money off of. So he conjures the necessary bogeymen amongst his own countrymen, to fill his coffers.

Honestly, I don't side with anyone in this thread. It has not been MDB's finest moment.
We have far more that unite us and yet all we do is bicker.
The RUSSIANS are damned with the very fabric of our country. How the “F” can't we circle the wagons around that crap? Maybe Trump's a knowing participant, maybe he's just an easily manipulated ego that can't reason his way out of a Russian watersport hooker sandwich. I don't know. But I do know I don't like the left or right in this country right now, and believe there are serious threats on the horizon. China is taking advantage of our international retirement, we're in a trade war under Republican leadership which is like saying we invaded Sweden under Democrat leadership. 7 years ago the world was on the brink of a new Democratic dawn, but now authoritatianism is all but secured itself as the dominant ideology that will see us into the next decade. Our house is not in order, and the economic clock is constantly ticking closer to an inevitable next down turn while we are throwing all of the available means on the fire to heat the economy up even hotter making those means unavailable when the inevitable down turn hits. History has taught us most people won't look back at what caused crap to hit the fan but will instead blame whomever is in office not only when it hits but when it doesn't get immediately better, leading to crap economic decisions because playing the economic long game isn't profitable in our current political environment.
The world is crazy right now. We're like a van full of drunk teenagers who are singing, screaming, swinging their shirts over their heads, crying, paryting, trying to get out of the van all while it's gaining speed into the blackness on a road that history tells us has sharp turns coming. None of the above are really helping.
I don't know. I don't know.

I honestly believe that far too many voters have their sense of ego and identity wrapped too tightly around their political alignment. They’ll interpret any hard look at Russian shenanigans as an attack on their Presidential pick. So they act as apologists for Russian interventionism.
‘The Left’ has similar issues with trying to tie Trump to everything bad happening everywhere, but this doesn’t quite compare to the actual Russian activities we’re witnessing that should be recognized and investigated.

To your credit, the terror of non-gender-specific restrooms is probably a larger threat to our Democracy.
