I been reading a lot about SETI and I am planing to help Breakthrough Listen on my spare time.

Hopefully we find an extraterrestrial signals in the near future. I really hope god-like extraterrestrials exists, but I do admit it is just my wishful thinking.

What if they are like us, only with technology and in particular weaponry we can't match?

And by 'like us' I don't just mean being bilaterally symmetrical bipeds with four limbs. I mean 'like us' in the sense of how we deal with groups much less powerful than ourselves.

I think we have enough problems between ourselves, without bringing in unpredictable aliens.

It would be worse if they were "like us" but they were noticeably dumber thus mocking us with their existence.
