Social security is just a means tested welfare program. It was initially sold as a coerced retirement savings but the money was stolen long ago to provide for people who paid little if anything into it.
You don't have a good understanding how of things work.
From what I see the debt has increased $1.5 trillion under Trump while it went from $10 trillion to $20 trillion under Obama.
Obama as you already know inherited an economy and the first year which had the largest deficit was approved by the Bush administration. The deficit then went down over time in poor but improving economic conditions. Trump inherited a good economy and a dropping deficit which he has turned around and significantly increased the deficit. When the crap hits the fan economically, and it always does, the US will not be in a good position to do much about it.
The debt would be much larger under Hillary Clinton still. I have no problem with Trump doing what it takes to win.
If you looked at history and positions she promoted this would obviously be untrue, but we know you like your fantasy world where exploding the deficit in good economic times is somehow called winning. You are certainly a hypocrite complaining about debt and deficit from Democrats but not when it comes to Trump.
If it were up to me, social security would have ended long ago. It wouldn't bother me one bit if it were gone tomorrow.
You don't even know how it works or what would happen if you did get rid of it.
