Ceeboo perhaps you could help explain the point of the bit about white privilege. All I heard were fragments adding up to little. It does not surprise me that black individuals are concerned with their ability to aim at actual accomplishments they can do.(they are probably not terribly impressed by or interested in whites virtue signaling each other with the phrase white privilege either.)

Horowitz interview with student, People can have difficulty knowing how to process knowledge about the the ugly parts of American history and actions in the world. There is a bit of actual brain maturity that develops in peoples twenties that better handles contradictory aspects of human societies.

I'm not convinced it's leftwing extremism (But perhaps you're right and it is?)

in my opinion, intersectionality goes hand-in-hand with (and is the natural progression of) being obsessed with race and ethnicity - So give that, I don't think it's an extremist thought process.

I'm sorry but I don't think I can help you here. I watched the video and I remain perplexed. Among the reasons I thought it was interesting (why I posted it in this thread) was that there was actually a "white privilege conference" (I had never heard of that before) and the guy who "extended his white privilege upon someone else" to his wife (Who is not white but black and I had never heard that before either) and the young white woman who "was hyper aware and feels super guilty all the time" of her white privilege.

Are you bothered by the behavior of the folks in the vid?

subs may be able to help you here with the concept of white privilege. He has opinions about it and how valid a given person’s opinion is depending upon their ‘whiteness’.
