Like many other political threads around these parts, differing expressions of individual thought and opinions aren't very welcome. Why? Because individual thoughts and opinions prevent the inappropriate pigeonholing of people into enormous groups of people based on race/ethnicity. Some folks love grouping people almost as much as they love race and ethnicity and seeing people as individuals doesn't allow them to see them as merely a part of a larger group.
None of that happened. For all the complaints about failing to bridge ideological divides and living in a bubble, you don't make even a little effort to understand what you disagree with.

The logical multiplication here is you think minorities, at least those more fortunate than you, should be giving their livelihoods to you. Have you had an opportunity to share this well-thought out position you honestly hold with them?
I just want it noted that EA just sent Nelson Mandela and BLM a massive shrug of his shoulders. Of course he doesn't care about Black people the way they want him to care. The Privileged White Male knows what's best for everyone else! At least I take them seriously enough to believe what they say is something they feel is true.

I don't know why it's surprising a thread that started with a promotion of Prager U, highlighted a video on white privilege, frequently referred to the OP's feigned ignorance of what that meant, and handed off to Cam who threw jet fuel on the issue - along with hilarious attempts to demonstrate racism isn't a thing by being racist by the way because that was awesome - has become a thread about whether or not it's screwed up that culturally engrained racial biases are disputed strongest by those who benefit from them. Though Cam should be acknowledged for not disputing it so much as arguing it's just how the world works.
Anyway, the dots were more or less lined up. This wasn't the result of a hard left, or right as it were, somewhere in the thread.

You keep framing this in a way that states that white people have to give up some specific thing to POC, as if a handout of some type would fix the problem anyway. That’s not the solution. The example that I gave above doesn’t suggest that any white folks line up to transfer their property to anyone. All that it asks for is that the system, when and where possible, is made to provide a reasonable equality of opportunity and consideration that reaches across different demographics when the out group is doing what it can to play by the rules that sometimes were written to exclude them.
And even so, as pointed out by EA, even this simple strategy isn’t a requirement. It’s just the decent and human thing to do. How hard is it to do that?
Maybe Ceeboo or ajax can share some stories about how acknowledging the existence of white privilege has adversely affected their lives. I’d be up for that.
