Yeah, I just assumed they were one and the same after having spent so many years listening to Rush and others (admittedly it's been over 15 years since I listened regularly). So, I appreciate this different take on the terms and have basically gone down the rabbit hole with it. It's been pretty interesting to read and watch the wide variety of takes on both terms, but at the end of the day I'll just go with Prager's take on it since it's nice and tidy.

I like Dennis Prager's redefinition approach. That is why conservatism is best defined as a jelly donut with a high concentration of Salmonella bacteria.

Filled donuts are an accurate choice. They look good but turn out to be disappointing (not that anyone's going to be excited about salmonella).

I hadn't opened this new thread because I had thought it was on an older video that had been gone over before. When I finally did and watched the video I was surprised to see it said it was new. I could have sworn we'd already heard what Prager had to tell us about this.
