Imgaine what Kavanaugh will do to people like Crystal Mangum and Mike Nifong if he does get confirmed to the Supreme Court. Liberals should be literally shaking in their boots right now.
And when the confederates saw Jackson standing fearless as a stone wall the army of Northern Virginia took courage and drove the federal army off their land.

What do you think the Supreme Court does?

If you missed it, I would at least highly recommend watching Ford's opening statement. You can read it online but it definitely loses weight compared to watching and hearing it. Less than 17 minutes.

Ford is an ideal witness. Crafted in a lab ideal. It doesn't change my grasp of the evidence. It's the same basic information. This mostly makes me annoyed that people who are less ideal might not be taken seriously.

I have not seen all of the testimony, but the parts I have seen show Dr. Ford to be a credible witness. At first I thought this would go along the lines of the Anita Hill-Clarence Thomas allegations. But the #MeToo movement is gradually releasing women from having their experiences sequestered from the rest of their lives.

Fox's Chris Wallace said the after Dr. Ford came forward, his two daughters both told him stories of sexual assault.

This is not a fully-formed idea, but I think that we need something like the philosophy that guided the Truth and Reconciliation movements in other countries. Many if not all women I know have endured one form or another of sexual assault, up to and including rape.

I'm actually interested in hearing from the women of MDB, and how they relate to Dr. Ford's testimony.

One of the orgs covering this that I was kind of halfway following dug into this a bit (honestly can't remember which). That 1)She is both half witness and half expert testimony and that made for a really potent combination here. 2)Both current cultural changes and the very obvious differences between here and a lot of witnesses gives her credibility that should probably be afforded to more people.

I'd also like to ask WTF were Republicans thinking in this 5-minute back and forth format? It seemed like Mitchell could never get on a roll, it was difficult to piece her arguments together and it allowed Democrats the opportunity to interject at every time. My understanding is that both sides agreed to this format, I'm not sure they realized how much this probably favored Ford.

Holy smokes. Listening to Kavanaugh on the radio right now, speaking his piece. What a whiny little child. He’ll be perfectly emblematic of this Administration and decades from now will serve as a fantastic reminder of how conservatism descended into Snowflake Land in the early 2000s.

He does sound quite upset and that stands in stark juxtaposition to Ford's testimony. Whether it is fair or not (if he is really telling the truth he has right to be mad) it definitely isn't a good look.

Not dismissing it out of hand despite my revulsion towards Avenatti? I'd say fine.
