It is wretched that there are people who would stoop to deify this asshole. We are watching Joe Smith and Hubbard in real time (if they had Fox News and social media at their disposal).
God belief is for people who don't want to live life on the universe's terms.

Remember the good old days, when right wingers accused Ds of claiming Obama was the Chosen One? Good times. Good times.

I think it was beastie who would point out that religious people love making fun of atheism by calling it a religion. They know at some level, religion is good fodder for ridicule.

Mark Taylor, a recently retired fireman; had this experience. Around 2 a.m. on the night of April 28, 2011, and unable to sleep he was channel surfing when he clicked on C-Span. The man on the screen was Donald Trump, and Mark had the premonition that he heard God say “You are hearing the voice of the next President.”
Technically, they didn’t even get this right. Trump could have run in 2012 but chose not to become the ‘next’ President at that time. The actual winner of the next Presidential election was Obama. ; )

There definitely was a time well before Mr Trump became a candidate that I had a realization (sudden revelation?) that he was moving on a path to become president. I had no impression that there was anything good about that however.

To one who has faith, no explanation is necessary. To one without faith, no explanation is possible.

Blame the Clinton machine and the DNC for Trump. Had Sanders been allowed to win, as the people wanted, Trump would be back on reality t.v.

20-20 hindsight is a wonderful thing, and Sanders was a candidate with great potential for the campaign as it might have been fought. But one did not have to be a completely robotic establishment Democrat to think otherwise at the time of the nomination, surely?
Absent the Comey email letter in the last few days, don't you think Clinton would have still have swung the college as well as the popular vote - which she did win by 3 million, let's not forget?

Clinton won the popular vote but is very unpopular, hence the need to collude for her to win the nomination. https://news.gallup.com/poll/243242/snapshot-hillary-clinton-favorable-rating-low.aspx Trump is very unpopular too but only Clinton could have lost to him, it seems. Maybe it is time to do away with the super-delegates? The latest reform still allows super-delegates to come in on a second ballot and choose the donors' candidate instead of what the people want. As for the Comey machinations prior to the election, one cannot say definitively what would have happened. Perhaps she could have won the electoral college, perhaps not. In any event, people are tired of her and were tired of her then. My guess is that she won the popular vote out of party loyalty.
