He would not have been murdered if he had been white. That makes it a race crime, not a crime over a woman's accusations. And it happened in a place where violence was an accepted part of life and the KKK could make it happen. That isn't about the woman, either. This stuff easily gets all tangled up. It doesn't break down into neat partisan packages for weaponization.
