What luck that they happened to have a bone saw on them.

Sorry to interrupt, but this has already been explained in this thread ...US officials are putting sustained pressure on Mohammed bin Salman
I get the US State department is "putting pressure" on Saudi Arabia, but what I meant by "what kind of pressure" is what things are Western countries using to pressure Saudi Arabia to fix their massive “F” up. It'd be interesting to be on the inside and witnessing which European countries are involved along side the US, and what's being proposed to force the Saudis' hands.

So what? Putin hasn't killed every critical journalist of his regime.

On the US side, there are reports that the some Senators might move to force sanctions, whether the White House likes it or not. No doubt the White House is pointing that out forcibly.
As for other countries, large numbers of companies and government representatives have pulled out of a very important meeting ('Davos in the Desert') that the Saudis have called to discuss their long-term investment plans. It makes them look foolish and isolated in a critical respect, as well as materially setting back an important element in their plans for the future of their country. They don't like any of that.

So what?
So why the elaborate method?...why attract so much attention? Even Putin exercises discretion, and since you believe killing some journalists is usual business for the Sauds, then why haven't we heard about other journalists being dismembered similarly?
You can argue otherwise, but this guy's death is different for a reason....and its not just for being typically "outspoken".

I think that the guy arguing some kind of otherwise here, is you.
Feel free to tell us the special reason why he was killed. Don’t hold back now.

There might be some empty gestures done for political gain. MBS might even be forced out. However, the Saudi oil is too important to both parties and their wall street donors to end the relationship.

I think he is hoping that people might be persuaded into thinking that this is not 'Arrogant Saudi prince has journalist critic murdered because he thinks he can get away with it' , but rather 'Weird Arab is killed by other weird Arabs for some special Arab reason, so who cares?'.

I’m expecting that he’ll tell us that Democrats organized and executed the killing as a way to “make Trump look bad”.
