Another Mass Shooting- 11 dead +1 Sheriff
The man who killed 12 people at a night club in California last night has been identified as David Ian Long, a 29-year-old whom a neighbor described as a veteran suffering from PTSD. He used a legally-purchased .45 handgun.

Between this mass shooting and the synagogue shooting, there’s been 11 other mass shootings defined as having 4 or more victims.

We've become desensitized to mass shootings. The yoga studio shootings in Florida barely made a ripple.

I too was surprised by how quickly that was glossed over, it has a lot of the more popular elements for being a wide reaching story. I was listening to the local sheriff speaking on radio.
Someone asked him, reasonably enough "Why does this kind of shooting happen so often is in the US, but much less in comparable countries?".
The poor man (who has to stand for election, right?) could only mumble something about 'I don't know why, I'd have to check the stats'. Must not, must not, under any circumstances, offend the NRA.
