Bill Reel is credible because he claimed that the Mormon cult would excommunicate him for simply telling the truth.

Let’s provide some context here. Bill Reel repaid the courtesy of personal communications with an apostle by publicly calling the apostle a liar on his popular blog and podcast.

He was not ex-communicated for merely “telling the truth.”

But we all know this is not why he recorded the DC. Bill Reel enlisted Mike Norton the Christian anti-cultist who believes Mormonism is Satanic so that Bill could publicize his anti-Abinadi testimony for all his fans.

Then, when he was done he went for his victory lap on the podcasts where he gloated about shaking the faith of some guy on the High Council. Gag.

It’s just not credible. The fact that Norton was recording the DC leaked out. Norton was talking about his good buddy Bill Reel’s upcoming DC. Then he filmed himself driving to the stake center and entering the building.

I have no doubt Elder Holland is given to exaggeration out of love for his faith, but calling him a liar was out of bounds. Bad form.

Really it was difficult for me to listen to all of the overscrutinizing of Holland’s fudging. The way it was treated like some big exposee was kind of sad, in retrospect.

Compare that with the crap that’s going down daily in the federal government and the attention given to Holland’s big fish stories is almost insulting.

I didn't see where we have evidence that Bill Reel approved, invited or enlisted Norton's help. Has someone confirmed that? Link please.

Maybe it is a complete coincidence that Mike Norton advertised his friendship with Bill Reel on Facebook one week before he went to trespass and record Bill’s DC.

What does it matter if Norton advertised his friendship with Reel on Facebook? We don't know what Reel has to say about the relationship do we?

That he entered the building to record doesn't implicate Reel.

I don't have the facts so I can't say what I know. I think it's obvious though that Mike Norton was involved in the recording. There was a wire. How the wire was planted and maneuvered, I don't know. Both Reel or his wife could have been in possession or another elaborate planting. I don't know.

One this is for sure. When it comes to taking down Mormonism, the end justifies the GODDMAMN means!

I think the situation speaks for itself. Let the one who has ears hear. I imagine that if I were wrong about this someone close to Reel would have corrected me by now. I’m not wrong.

It’s OK. I get it. The Church is bad, so screw them, right?

Bill is only human. He has made some mistakes. No biggie. I think he has a cool and fun podcast.

At the same time, I am unimpressed with the whole DC show. I view it as a setup. Bill wanted his martyrdom and he got it. He took advantage of the Church’s process to make his own statement.

It could have been more powerful had it not turned into an ex-Mo testimony meeting and Norton prank. But obviously I was not the target audience. Nor were the Mormons who need enlightening.

The target audience was all of those people who are already heavily leaning in or fully converted to the idea that the Church is BS and that “woke” folks will march out the door to enjoy eternal Second Saturdays and the occasional vigil for the next holy witness to the anti-LDS “truth.”
