If you spent 40k on upgraded car door locks that almost never worked in an area where car break-in's aren't a serious problem? Yeah, that seems like a foolish waste of time and money.

ajax...if that photo is to scale, I don't want to pay 5B for something that even a Jersey Girl can slip through. A foolish waste of time and money (currently) is a President who on account of him playing standoff about the 5B has driven our gov't into partial shut down while anything resembling his sane and stable staff members bail left and right because he went cowboy on Syria and Afganistan--paying (since we're talking money at the moment) for major rotation of military forces and movement of military assets back to the US (they'll only have to turn around and go back sooner rather than later when all hell breaks loose and it will), he's bitching because he can't go vacay and play golf at the "Winter Whitehouse", while we just paid for FLOTUS to fly down there on military aircraft while she's doing a return trip as we speak...because C'mas and her stupid husband who can't do crap right.

ajax, this man is ruining us from the inside out and plunging us into peril, and he's doing it fast. Please can you not see this?

ajax I am perhaps the least politically savvy person who posts on this forum. Even **I** can see the danger we are in. If you will recall, I am supportive of increased border security including a wall if need be and feasible, but this man is losing his crap in front of our very eyes, ajax.

He is playing hell with our gov't, with our military, global security, and he is playing hell with us.

You have to be hiding in a closet right now to miss it.

60,000 illegal border crossings each month seems like a problem to me. I think that's the basic difference in what we're saying. It's not that the wall wouldn't help. It's that you view illegal immigration as a victimless crime that actually improves the economic condition of native working class taxpayers. Hence we should be building freeways to factilitate and increase mass immigration rather than a wall in an effort to slow it down.

We're trying to set up a national collection amongst conservative voters to pay for the wall. I'd be happy to increase my taxes as much as 10% and allow all Democrats to be exempt from payment. In the end this would be far less expensive than the cost of doing nothing.
