I read that it was about 30 million to Trump. Of either the 106 million or the 30 million...what percentage was from Russian money funneled in? I looked but could not find it.
It's complicated. They have 30 million in disclosed donations, but due to the wonders of how dark money donations and reporting requirements now work, there's all sorts of campaign related things they could've spent money on that wouldn't be included in that number. The NRA is a popular means for conservative backers who want to remain anonymous about the election spending to conceal their donations through. The actual number could've been much higher.
Torshin, who is known to be involved both in Russian intelligence efforts and criminal money laundering, donated millions of dollars to the NRA via connections Butina was involved in attempting to establish. And before you just explain to us that he's a Russian oligarch who is just really passionate about 2nd amendment rights, maybe look up how Putin's party views gun rights in Russia.
Ironically, the only President we have on tape (and video) colluding with a Russian is Obama.
