IHAQ,
From experience, images posted on MDB can't exceed a width of more than about 600 pixels or so. The fact that the web address posted (see above) with the img markup indicates that size is the problem.

The Did I Plagiarize? image is much larger than 600 pixels and would not be readable if one were to reduce its size to make it fit.

So the link you posted will remain the best way to view this excellent plagiarism rating scale.

DCP's latest plagiarism clocks in at the extreme end of the scale - somewhere between "Terribly Serious" and "Insanely Serious".

I retract my comments on the basis that DrW really IS smarter than me.

Best I could do under the circumstances.

Anyway, accusations of dumbness equal to yours are taken in these quarters as a compliment.

eta: See if you can click on the image and see if it takes you to a larger view of it.

I use imgbb.com for image uploads.

Doc,

Well done. imgbb.com clearly has a great image compression algorithm.

The result isn't as good as viewing IHAQS original link, but much better than simply reducing pixel count without compression.

Yes! Thanks Doc

Perhaps someone can post a link to the image as a comment on Daniel's blog (if he'll allow it to be posted that is...)

Thanks, Dr. W. I believe when you click on the image and it takes you to their site, you can click on it again and it'll blow up with clear resolution. Hope this is the case!

The nature of the similarities between Dan's work and the original make it clear that Dan's method of "paraphrasing" starts with a 'ctrl-c, ctrl-v' operation on his keyboard and then goes from there.

Dr. P:

I guess universities don't like plagiarism much. Also, I wonder whether or not the fired professors in these cases used your same excuses? If they did, the excuses didn't work, obviously. I would advise you to look a little closer at these cases like you did with the Haley case and others you seem to know really well. Perhaps it will save you from some further embarrassment? In any event, you really ought to stop plagiarizing other content and stop with the silly excuses.

Here is an interesting article on plagiarism and blog posts, fyi:

The funny thing is that these accusations are clearly hitting home, because he keeps adding more changes to further mask the plagiarism. If he really thought that the original "paraphrase" was acceptable, he would have left it as-is.

He knows he did something wrong but he simply can't admit that in public. Fascinating and kind of sad at the same time.
