Racism is part of the human condition. You and I cannot escape the fact that ingroup/outgroup reaction is hard wired into our subconscious processing. What matters is what you consciously do with that reality.

And everyone enjoys some level of privilege.

And that response by the Administration is still petty, and your attempt to steer away from that doesn't change it.

Promising pardons for law enforcement breaking the law on his insistence is a very clear basis for impeachment. Failure to impeach a President for even that is a sign of institutional break down of the US government.

This allegation should be pursued by Congress with testimony under oath.

Seriously, of everything that has happened, I feel like this one is the most brightline example of an impeachable offense yet. If it happened, failure to impeach the President is the clearest sign of institutional breakdown of the US government I have seen. Congress should be soliciting sworn testimony on this matter ASAP to determine if there is sufficient evidence it occurred.

The fact that Democrats aren't even talking about impeachment with this one is itself a sign of serious erosion of government functioning. The President of the United State is credibly alleged to have promised pardons if law enforcement break the law to violate internationally recognized human rights on his behalf. Jesus H. Christ.

Democrats calculation that impeachment is bad politics for them is harming the country in addition to possibly being wrong.

The problem is law breaking is OK if you believe the law is stupid. FOX news is admitting it is illegal but they dismiss it because the law needs to be changed. At the end if the day this wont be about whether Trump's actions are illegal. It will be about who really believes in border security.
