Oh.

So refusing to discuss improving the US infrastructure, which has for years been acknowledged to be in a state unworthy of one of the world's richest countries, is standing up for the people who have to live with the crumbling bridges and the unfit roads.

Right.

You’ve got to admit, watching Trump sycophants struggling to come up with increasingly ludicrous rationalizations for The Donald’s juvenile behavior is worth the laugh at times.

Taking a meeting with Pelosi isn't required in Constitution. Pelosi's Constitutional responsibility is legislating, right?
Exactly what do you imagine is the Executive Branch's responsibility?...From an oath of office view, of course.

I couldn't possibly be more bored when reading the forum than I am when I encounter yet another piece of disingenuous nonsense authored by you.

Seems the red states are having problems with the blue states wealth. The 10 poorest states are red states.

What on earth does this have to do with the OP?

Given that a person's IQ can't top 70 while simultaneously thinking Trump's great, you've got to expect their defenses to be laughable. Thinking is not their forté.

Stupidity has far reaching consequences. Hell, if you like Trump, you're likely to think favorably of other idiotic things, like outlawing abortion, thinking climate change is a conspiracy, the Republicans are looking out for American interests, that Caucasians are the best race ever (or any race is best, for that matter), or that there's a god who (*chuckle*) gives a crap about you. People like this are the inadvertently engaged emergency brake on human progress.

Ahhh... stupid people. What can ya do?

If we were watching a TV series about a narcissistic ethics-free reality TV star who becomes president, and storms out of meetings on urgent topics of vital practical interest to Americans in order to parade his victimhood on Fox News, it might be a lot of laughs. But this is reality in front of us.

So, is Trump going to show up the evil hate-filled Democrats by rescuing the decaying US infrastructure despite them? Er, nope, apparently.

Only if he can find enough ‘special friends’ to reward with contracts. ; )

President Donald Trump has "aggressively" pushed for the Army Corps of Engineers to award a contract to a North Dakota-based construction company to build sections of his proposed wall along the southern US border, The Washington Post reported Thursday.

Citing conversations with multiple unnamed administration officials, the paper said the President has been pushing Department of Homeland Security leaders and Lt. Gen. Todd Semonite, the commanding general of the Army Corps of Engineers, to award a contract potentially worth billions of dollars to Fisher Industries, "whose top executive is a GOP donor and frequent guest on Fox News."

The Post said Trump's push for the contract with Fisher, which is suing the federal government over its solicitation process for border wall contracts, "has alarmed military commanders and DHS officials."

The President, who has "repeatedly" lobbied on behalf of the company to officials, again brought it up on Thursday during an Oval Office meeting about the border wall that included Gen. Mark Milley, the commander of the Army, and other Pentagon officials, the paper said. Trump, according to officials the Post spoke to, "immediately brought up Fisher" during the meeting.

Trump supporter: 'You just hate the President because he is so successful!'

Chap: 'Er, no. It's more that the thing he is trying to be successful at is using his office as President to build alliances with rich friends by awarding them government favours in ways that subvert the arm's-length bid evaluation procedures designed to protect the interests of the American taxpayer. Not every kind of success is equally desirable in a President.'

As if that were even the case.

The American Taxpayer has paid for Trump’s business losses and tax shenanigans by covering over $1 billion worth of his write-offs, some of that amount essentially paying for loans that has allowed him to modestly expand his real estate portfolio beyond what was originally ported to him by his father and family. His net worth is tied more to the historical appreciation of those properties rather than any business acumen or strategy in procurement. Nearly everything else that Trump has attempted to stamp his name upon has ended up a spectacular failure.

At one point, subs gave a Reddit link to a ‘list of successful’ Trump companies ... virtually every one of them was a shell or holding company created to shelter income from one of the others, and usually producing income of no more than several hundred or a few thousand dollars. A bunch of nested holding companies shuffling around the same dollars really isn’t indicative of real business success as opposed to merely being a demonstration of how desperately the man seeks to dodge his tax responsibility.

Yet there was a peaceful transition of power. I don't recall any armed revolts. I don't recall the Obama administration refusing to hand over power. Democrats have accepted the results of the election, but are not under any obligation not to investigate possible illegal activities on the part of anyone, and with Trump we see lots of evidence suggesting illegal activities. I would be a lot more worried about the evidence of Trump's activities then about Bill getting a bj.
