People so rich that they don't work or produce any thing of value isn't fair or a desirable result. But how many of those people are out there. We have a general entitlement mentality problem on a large scale. This problem of the 0.001% seems like a scape goat we use to distract from the more pervasive peoblem.

It's valuable to keep in mind that dollars that are sucked up into tax havens and trust funds to avoid taxes and divorce lawyers are effectively sucked up out of the economy. Those are dollars that aren't getting returned into the economy as well as need replaced in the tax system by people without access to those protective structures. Like it or not, that tax avoidance contributes to your tax obligation being what it is.

I think you have a point on this. Yet I think you'd also agree given that this trend hasn't stopped under Republican or Democratic administrations. Nobody has shown us they can make the uberich pay their taxes. They always seem to find a way out of it.
