Mr. Stak:

I believe your scholarly expertise is needed. Have you seen this? I personally think it's mis-titled--I mean, "Victorious Regret"??. I believe it should be called, "I Kicked His Ass, But Then I Felt Bad About It." Your insight is needed, Mr. Stak.

I was elected student body president at my high school. Here’s a note about that:

I had never, I think, held (or run for) an office in student government. (My memory is actually a bit fuzzy on this point: It’s possible that I once served on a class council. I really don’t remember.)

But there was somebody — let’s call him SB (for “somebody,” not his initials) — who had been class president at least once and possibly twice, and who was widely expected to run for and to win the presidency of the overall student body.

I see it playing into his insecurity. I am not a expert, but I do watch "Law and Order SVU" and I can see "Wong" saying:

"Dan is trying to regain the feeling of power and superiority, from his past position of being the chief Mopologist at a major university, by going back in his mind, at least twice here, as Mr. I have a Question noted...and re-living a dominate victory from the past."

A kinder interpretation would be that he likes to share. The man cannot be separated from his generosity: he'll allow just about anyone a walk-on role in his solipsism.

I have to admit that I am just a working man, drive a truck, wear a John Deer hat, and have a redneck, and I genuinely had to look up the word “solipsism.”

In my world we would translate solipsism as meaning “he has his head so far up his ass he doesn’t know his own s#*t stinks.”

Dr. Scratch, I've spent the better part of the day deep in the catacombs of the library here at Cassius. Professor Stak sent me down to see if I could locate a copy of Priestcraft Peter$on's missionary journal in the Special Collections. I was able to locate the following entries. Hopefully, they can shed some light:

Dear Diary,

What can I say about my week that has not already been said. Word has spread like wildfire about my epic butt-kicking of the Jehovah’s Witness. We're all given a special and unique gift from God in life. Mine just happens to be beating up on people. I met a lot of new people at the mission conference today. I waved at them from my balcony as they entered the church. Everyone, especially the sisters, wanted me to regale them with tales of my glorious victory. Now I know what it truly feels like to be a rock star for the Lord. Just think Diary, all of these people clamoring over each other just to catch a glimpse of me. I'm truly blessed beyond measure.

Dear Diary,

I'm fed up with having to read the Book of Mormon by myself and God knows. So, He has inspired me to delegate, delegate, DELEGATE! From here on out, my companion will read to me. I was cleaning out my old suitcase this morning and saw my Hitler Youth Uniform from when I was a greenie. How I miss the old days!

Dear Diary,

Since I am the closest thing to Jesus in our mission, I have been thinking about growing a long flowing beard and long flowing hair. I'm sure the mission president won't object, especially if he knows what's good for him. I know that we have been taught to emulate God's mercy but if someone bothers you then it's okay to punch them in the face, and kick their butts out into the street, in much the same way that I did in my days as a surfer-student body president and overall defender of the downtrodden. Don't get me wrong, Diary, I'm all for Christ's love and forgiveness, but the Old Testament vengeful God feels pretty freaking good. I guess what I'm saying is that we're all human, and it's okay to be a bastard. God bless you and God's love be with you Diary. Amen!

You're missing something by doing that, even though it sounds amusing.

Words like 'solipsism' are sniper rifles designed to hit a very sharply defined target. Your translation into 'trucker-talk' is just a sawn-off shotgun blasted in the general direction of something you think sounds dumb. A few of your slugs may hit some solipsism, but a lot of them will go elsewhere.

That's the problem with this supernatural stuff, it doesn't really solve anything. It's a placeholder for ignorance.

Chap,

LOL...First of all, I think the park in general, and Cassius' (which I belong to the Professor Hays Chair, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZO1zt_K3TsM) overall analysis and constant abuse, even if deserving, of Dr. Peterson is of the shotgun approach. He is called every name in the book and has been diagnosed with every psychiatric disorder imaginable. Heck, his physical health is even attacked here, often.

Second, I never said anything about what Bret said as sounding "dumb." In fact, he is one of the few persons on this board that actually might know what he is talking about, and I have the upmost respect for his opinions, and enjoy his posts.

Third, what I wrote goes far beyond the "trucker world," which I know little about other than without them our world stops overnight, literally, and like Bret I have the upmost respect for them. When I wrote I drove a truck, I meant I drive a pick up truck, not an 18 wheeler. I apologize for not being more clear.

Fourth, my reading of the general definition of solipsism: "a theory holding that the self can know nothing but its own modifications and that the self is the only existent thing also : extreme egocentrism." Can specifically and directly be defined as someone having their head up their ass. If you want a clinical term for that so you can understand this from a clinical point of view, it is called an " reverse inner cranial sphincter squeeze."

Fifth, Happy Fathers Day.

A pickup truck? In that case, Chap will refrain from using the "Up against the wall, Father truckers" meme.

True but we can sing "up against the wall Redneck Mothers" by Ray Wylie Hubbard together.
