It's not like Trump ran a NYC "modeling agency" featuring girls of unknown age dubiously trafficked from overseas and paid little to no wages at the same time he was an Epstein crony. And who cares if Epstein said, "I want to set up my modeling agency the same way Trump set up his modeling agency." Seriously, who cares if Trump named the prosecutor who signed an illegal non-prosecution deal with Epstein, who is now his Secretary of Labor. Who cares Trump was known to barge into teen girls' dressing rooms at pageants, and has made inappropriate comments to/about underage girls on camera. Who cares if Trump was named as one of the rapists on Epstein properties years ago. Who cares if Trump's own wife gave a court deposition saying she was violently raped by her husband. Who cares if Trump bragged about sexually assaulting women at will because his celebrity and fame gave him that privilege. Who cares if Trump ultimately endorsed pedophile Roy Moore for the US Senate.

There is nothing to see here. Move along.

What matters are those trips Bill Clinton took with his staff and security detail on Epstein's planes. Why doesn't anyone get to the bottom of this?

This was my initial reaction. You have about as close to a real, live Pizzagate as is possible. Yet the Pizzagate folks aren't in a tizzy. That's fascinating.
Par for the course, unfortunately. I have an acquaintance (I use the term very loosely) that is a straight up 9-11 truther/flat earther/pizzagater, believes the powers that be orchestrated what are some of the most complicated and in-depth conspiracies of all time. When you show him evidence of actual conspiracies: Epstein or the Muller report as the most recent examples and I swear he goes full Westworld on me.

I’ve often wondered what were the life circumstances that existed that enabled a person to develop that mindset.

The person that I spoke about is suffering from a fun cocktail that I think leads him down that path. He is diagnosed bi-polar, grew up in a deeply religious and anti-Semetic home (by his telling), and has an unusually hard time finding work and making ends meet. Due to his extreme views he is ostracized from the one community he felt like he belonged to, the LDS church, this in turn only leads him deeper into the conspiracy world.

Although it is only the reader's digest version of his history I think it takes a fair number of different issues all stacked together to take you down that kind of extreme path. I'm sure there are also those that are generally just more likely to think they see hidden patterns and meanings in the world and when those kinds of people overlap with those with experiences similar to his the consequences are real.

My second reaction was what I think a lot of reporters are starting to focus on. Epstein's business success makes no sense.

How did Epstein get his money? It looks like he might have been running a blackmail scheme, chasing after the rich and powerful. His black book has a lot of famous/rich people in it. The Clintons and Trump had connections to this guy. Prince Andrew, Chris Tucker had connections. That plea deal with Acosta smells like higher ups intervened to prevent certain details from coming out and Epstein is saying he will sing to save himself from having to go into the general prison population. If I had to guess at possible futures, I could see an untimely death in lock-up a la Whitey Bulger as a possibility. However, one wonders if Epstein has accounted for this and stashed incriminating information all over the place ...

Funny how you never mention this recent allegation in your initial post or your posts for Dr Ford, or for Stormy, or Pssy Grbbr...

At least some people think i have a brain...no one entertains that notion for your vacuous skull when reading your posts.

No surprises there. He leaves folks so little choice than to have to “say it”.

Yes, abject smartness must be when you guys conclude that a person knowing a child rapist is only damning when that person is a Republican.
But that's cool, hair fire du jour is a DNC featured menu specialty....you guys really are wearing out this 1 trick pony 2020 campaign strategy...but i get it, sexual molestation and deviance is your bread and butter; only offensive if a non Democrat gets caught.

Maybe Res Ipsa or someone with some legal background might know, but I have a question:

Acosta's deal has been ruled to have violated the Crime Victims’ Rights Act (CVRA), which guarantees victims the right to speak with prosecutors.

  • Are there any criminal or civil penalties Acosta faces for violating the act? I don't think ignorance of the law would be a great excuse.
  • What civil recourse do the victims have now that it has been ruled that their rights were violated by the settlement? Can they go after Acosta or the Miami office that handled the case?

The Department of Labor is tasked with investigating and preventing sex trafficking. How many people who have been affected by sex trafficking are comfortable with this man leading the charge?

And if you want another reason to love Jeffrey Epstein, check out his rationale for his behavior:

I'm not a sexual predator, I'm an offender. It's the difference between a murderer and a person who steals a bagel.
