Big talk from your throne of unsubstantiated posts, claims, and accusations.
Easy enough to compare my rate of response to CFR to yours.

OK. Go ahead and compare. I’ll win that match. As well, any comparison will be an excellent exhibit of your dependence on dishonesty and badly photoshopped memes. : )

So you can start here. Do you have a CFR for the quote in that image? You’re going all in on being either a liar or a fool; help us decide which label fits best this time.

You'd think a dude who spends a fair amount of time on the Internet, and feverishly Googling scare quotes would at least do a little fact checking before staking out a position:

https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/ilhan-omar-white-men/

In November 2018, social media users shared an inflammatory quotation attributed to Omar, one that presented her as a Muslim extremist with a violent and tyrannical view of non-Muslims: “I am America’s hope and the president’s nightmare. I think all white men should be put in chains as slaves because they will never submit to Islam”:

The first sentence included in the meme was authentic, but the contentious second one was no more than a malicious fabrication. Omar did once say “I am America’s hope and the president’s nightmare,” in reference to President Donald Trump, while discussing her own personal history as a female Muslim refugee during a 13 July episode of Comedy Central’s The Daily Show. During that program, host Trevor Noah asked the following:

Your story is one of the most fascinating I have ever come across. To be in the position you’re in is one that is already unique, but your story is even more unique. You are someone who is all too familiar with being a refugee, you’re from Somalia, you’re also a Muslim person, you’re also a woman. You are everything that President Trump seems to be against, and you are in government. What’s the plan?

Omar responded by saying, “I am America’s hope and the president’s nightmare”:

However, we found no record of Omar’s ever having called for white men to be bound in chains or enslaved for refusing to convert to Islam (or of her making any other remotely similar statement) — not in the July 2017 Daily Show interview, or in the September 2017 Time magazine interview which was the source of the photograph used in the meme, or anywhere else.

The second quotation is no more or less than a malicious, Islamophobic fabrication which could stoke fear or anger against Omar and other Muslims in the United States.

I think this goes back to the 'replacement theory' White nationalists, or Supremacists, or whatever it is they call themselves these days. White whatevers believe they're going to be replaced by what they believe are "inferior populations" and therefore society will regress due to the supposed inferiority of immigrants. The logical end game, as it were, of White whatevers is a sort of genocide of non-White populations because mass deportation and banning of interracial relationships won't be enough.

The GOP would do well to excise the far-Right types from their party, but I don't see that happening. In fact, I don't know how they could do that without alienating a large voting bloc and thus losing elections to the Democrats. They're certainly in bed with the far-Right, that much is certain.

CNN's headline story from this morning:

https://www.cnn.com/2019/07/17/politics ... index.html

I thought David Axelrod's comment and associated reporting captures both the outrageousness of Trump's behavior sectioned off with caution that if the news media should have learned anything from 2016 it's that Donald Trump's ability to turn outrageousness into owning the news narrative is deceptively effective as a political tool.

"This is not going to be the last time this happens. We are going to be having this discussion a lot in the next 17 months because he thinks it is to his advantage to do it," David Axelrod, a CNN senior political analyst and former Barack Obama strategist said on "The Lead with Jake Tapper."

"And, yes, it is important for us as a country to express our moral outrage about these tactics, but at some point, they have to be discussed as tactics."

Under normal circumstances, it would be a legacy-defining moment if a President was rebuked for racist language by the one half of a rival branch of government.

That it is not is a measure of how Trump broke the political mold, enjoys impunity for his boundless conduct and has utterly co-opted his party.

In the warped political calculations of the Trump era, the developments in the last few days might even come to be seen as some kind of political victory for the President.

By singling out Reps. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York, Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts and Rashida Tlaib of Michigan, he hoped to make some of the most radical Democrats the face of the party ahead of 2020. They have promised not to take Trump's "bait" but conservative media is making sure that Trump's base sees plenty of the quartet. It's also painting the President's racism as an example of liberal hysteria and yet more victimization of Trump by critics who are obsessed with identity politics.

And the President is not going to lose any sleep about being censured by the House. He's always framed himself as the scourge of the Washington elite and he knows GOP control of the Senate means he won't be embarrassed in the other chamber.

And for a day at least, the Democrats were distracted from their plans to pass a positive agenda on issues like health care, education and climate change that preoccupy their voters.

The media was culpable in promoting Trump in 2016 that will, of necessity due to his being President, be amplified and be unavoidable in the lead up to 2020. Four years ago he was an outrageous outsider who made for "good tv" but no one thought had a chance of winning the Presidency until halfway through the vote counting on election night. This time, he is the President and will command news coverage whether or not outlets want to focus on other candidates or topics. That should be seen as a bad thing in case that isn't clear. Just because he is obviously a terrible person who says terrible things doesn't mean his own words are the best weapons to be used against him. In this case, I think he recognizes the heart of the moderate/independent voter can be won or lost by how well they think one party governs over the other. And lest one forget, we're in the full fruit phase of the economic recovery that began in 2009/2010. It isn't a question of IF the fruit will drop in the next couple of years but when. If it happens after the 2020 election, Trump will have the advantage of a strong economy as a tail wind. If it happens during the campaign season, people are going to be looking hard for someone to blame.

Supposing Trump breaks the juxtaposition of political rhetoric and words from how people think things are going, it's a win for him. This implies the Democrat strategy should include ways for their control of the House to demonstrate what politicians say translates into real consequences for the average American. More importantly, what they have to say and then do is in America's interests. No one viewed the Republican House under Obama repeatedly voting to repeal the ACA as effective, and this was forcibly shoved down their throats once they took full control of Washington and weren't able to come up with a suitable replacement that would have allowed them to act on their previous rhetorical votes. For all the anti-Trump speak out there, the Democrat strategy in 2018 that lead to the Democrats taking the House leveraged this hard, making healthcare the core message. Let the voters draw the anti-Trump conclusions and motivate themselves to get out and vote. Voters will find the motivation to act against something pretty easily. But it's important for opposition politicians to also give them something to be FOR with their vote.

So maybe now subgenius will wish to delete the post in which he included a meme which clearly attributed words to Omar which she clearly did not say.

If not, why not?
Zadok:
I did not have a faith crisis. I discovered that the Church was having a truth crisis.
Maksutov:
That's the problem with this supernatural stuff, it doesn't really solve anything. It's a placeholder for ignorance.

To further drive home Honor's point:

New Poll: The Rasmussen Poll, one of the most accurate in predicting the 2016 Election, has just announced that “Trump” numbers have recently gone up by four points, to 50%. Thank you to the vicious young Socialist Congresswomen. America will never buy your act! #MAGA2020

Now we're talking about racism instead of Epstein and Russia. Trump's ploy worked.

We're always talking about racism. It'll never stop. It'll be a forever go-to by the Left to chip away at the Center who could be swayed to vote for the GOP.

That said, if anyone wants to understand why people vote for Trump, read the comments on Peter$son's blog post discussing the topic:

I think all this hand wringing is unwarranted. This incident drove Trump’s approval down among independents. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa- ... SKCN1UB2UD Democrats aren’t driving away the center — Trump is.

Epstein will be back in the news. What Trump did was drive the story of divided Democrats in disarray out of the news for a bit. Trump says and does outrageous things every day to fire up his base. But let Democrats do something that fires up their base, then the sky is falling.

We Democrats heard this same song and dance during the Kavanaugh hearings: this was sure to result in losing the 2018 midterms. How’d that work out?

Epstein is back in the news as a newly released video shows Trump and Epstein partying it up back in 1992 at Maralago. Remember, Trump said he was never a fan.

I'm just commenting on the tactic of using race (from the Right) or racism (from the Left) as a 'wedge issue' to chip away at the center. I think, if we're being honest, that charges of racism is a sort of tried and true tactic the Left has been using to gain ground on the Right.

And before anyone gets their panties in a bunch (from either side), here's a perfect example of real, systemic racism and privilege played out that's undeniable:

TL;DR - White guy using kitty litter to dehumidify his car in Houston is arrested and it's all cleared up shortly because he has money and connections. Black guy gets arrested for a similar thing and his life is ruined because he's poor and unconnected.
