The irony is that racists complain that being racist really isn't being racist because the meaning changes over time. I grew up with my racist step father insisting he wasn't a race because racism only means you believe another race is superior over another race because of genetics. He insisted he never believed that, therefore it didn't matter how many times he said "ni**er" throughout my childhood. He also said the smartest man he ever met was a black guy (who was also a Mormon bishop, incidentally) which apparently meant he couldn't possibly be racist.
And now after bitching and moaning that the "Left" is using a "race card" to call virtually everyone a racist as a "wedge" or whatever BS Limbaugh says, idiots like subgenius turn around call something racism when it isn't.
And the Right Wing media still hasn't come to grips with the fact that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez never accused Pelosi of racism. Not once. But that feeds into their Justin Smollett narrative like persecution complex.

Epstein will be back in the news. What Trump did was drive the story of divided Democrats in disarray out of the news for a bit. Trump says and does outrageous things every day to fire up his base. But let Democrats do something that fires up their base, then the sky is falling.

How it worked out was the GOP base was energized in a way that quite possibly prevented the very improbable Democrat taking of the Senate that looked possible in September 2018 despite the odds being stacked against it.
