I was quite favorably impressed with Jay Inslee, and slightly less impressed with Kamela Harris this time than the last time she debated. I had hoped she would have done better, as I like her a lot. Kirsten Gillibrand, on the other hand, did better this time than last time in my opinion, as did Tulsi Gabbard. I prefer Cory Booker over Joe Biden. I think all of them made some pretty good points.

All of the women in both groups were very impressive, intelligent and knowledgeable. Wow! what a huge contrast between them and the former Republican female contenders, Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachman! Those two were almost unbelievably obtuse and clueless!

I still favor "Pocahontas" and Bernie, but am not absolutely sure which of those two I like best. I would enthusiastically support a ticket with either one or both of them on it.

All of them would be far better than Trump!

I will say the same thing I said 3 years ago...It is sad that we really don’t have a viable choice for president.

If anyone listened to the debate it was like watching a JV basketball game. What is the overall goal of these folks...open the border, eliminate energy independence, and give free medical to everyone? Listening to the debate I stand justified for any criticism I had for Obama...he may be attacked more than Trump in the primaries.

As a independent, I can only hope that Biden gets the blue ticket in that he at least, if elected President, may understand that doing nothing but bobulate-ing may be the best route.

I've come to the conclusion that certain people of a Republican bent have the inability to hear what others are saying if they aren't speaking in the proper delusional code. This post was as accurate as your typical ajax post (which is to say, it was premised on nonsense).

I listened to the entire first debate. Not one person said they wanted open borders, or eliminate energy independence. Unless someone said it in the second debate, you damned made that up.

Do you want to be taken seriously, or do you just care that your words appear on the screen?

You are certainly right, my friend. No one in the second debate said they wanted open borders, let alone open boarders! And nothing is more ridiculous than claiming they wanted to eliminate energy independence. The surest way to eliminate energy independence is to oppose transitioning to a green, renewable energy economy. All the candidates agreed with the scientific consensus that global warming is a serious existential threat, and nothing, at this point, is more imperative and more important than weaning us off of dependence on fossil fuels as soon as we can, and developing and using renewable energy sources. Denying that is every bit as irrational as denying that the world is round, spinning on its axis, and orbiting around the sun. Absolutely the only way it is possible for us to achieve and retain true energy independence is to join and lead the world in developing and using green energy techniques!

Might as well concentrate on getting rid of the orange asshole.

The depressing thing is that even if we gain a majority in the Senate, it probably won't help a lot if Moscow Mitch survives the election as minority leader, unless the democrats gain a super majority of 60 or more, which is not very likely. Mitch will be almost sure to filibuster any Democrat proposal.

While I doubt the Democrats will get a majority in the Senate, I think Mitch might lose a bit of his iron grip if the GOP becomes the minority.

Mitch McConnell is a brilliant parliamentarian: He knows the rules, he knows how to maximize his power. Perhaps because of that, he appears to have no moral center. All of his calculations seem to begin with what helps the GOP instead of helping the United States.

I fervently hope Mitch gets voted out. Given his low approval rating, isn't there a strong possibility that he will be? Even if the Republicans retain a majority in the Senate, I think the situation will be significantly improved if he is no longer there. Given the scandals surrounding him and his wife, he surely should be forced to resign, and almost certainly belongs in Jail! What is the possibility that he could be impeached himself? He surely deserves to be--perhaps even more so than Trump!
