There's data out there that shows young American males are much more likely to die due to guns than just about any other demographic. subbie's chart, wherever it comes from, is misleading. It focuses on death by homicides which young black males are much more likely to die from than females of any race, and Americans of most age demographics over 30 years old.

What it doesn't include is the fact if you are a young white male, you're just about as likely to die due to a gun as well. It just much more likely to be one you were holding.

Don't think Doc Cam was talking about a rigorous gun confiscation program. That would be unworkable.

You're spot on. I'm talking about accepting what we are as human beings, no matter our nature, our circumstances, the reality in which we find ourselves is we're still passionate and oft times aggressive with one another. If we accept the principle of pragmatism then we can assess ourselves realistically. There is no reason on earth we couldn't regulate firearms like we regulate cars.

A well regulated militia. The right training. The right rules. The right accountability. The right to bear arms ought to be well regulated.
