Because currently it seems that you are discussing the moral divide between a white child being separated from its criminal parent and a brown child being separated from its criminal parent.
Or is it a larger topic on how children of all colors can be terribly inconvenienced when their parents break the law?

Talk about the stupidest attempt at moral equivalence. If a white person is arrested for, oh let's say, a DUI while driving with their kid, that kid doesn't get kidnapped by the government, forever to be separated from his parents while being subjected to child molestation.

Children were only separated from their parents as a matter of policy when Trump made it so. He was told by Federal judges to knock it off, and he said he did, but he's still doing it because he doesn't give a damn about the law. Of the 600+ people who were rounded up, roughly half of them were released because they were illegally arrested. But that's not a problem in your mind is it?

But way to go ignoring the overall thrust of the OP which is the fact that hundreds and thousands of US citizens are having their rights violated because of their skin color. How would you feel if your kid was rounded up by ICE and detained for weeks simply because of his skin tone?

It’s cute that you want to keep pushing that false narrative but if that were the case then you should be able to refer us back to the stories of the same types and scale of detention difficulties occurring during that time.

Of course, the law was applied differently back then, and families did not experience the same scale of separation or dysfunction within the system that we see now. Which must mean, by your own argument, that the current Administration is much more incompetent than the last with this task.

Tl;dr - Hundreds of Caucasians flee their much coveted jobs that everyone wants to do over rumors federal agents were descending upon their workplace to arrest them, separate them from their families, and take their unlicensed firearms.

A US citizen who was carrying a passport, driver's license, and social security card was detained on an immigration hold. The sheriff's office defended itself by saying they have a policy of detaining all latinx people for immigration reviews.

This is as clear of a violation of civil rights as exists.
