Yeah, I think I got carried away with my analogy. I don't really understand the end game here.
Somehow the defenders eventually just sneak out through a tunnel and lie low somewhere for a while before popping up at another position somewhere else without ever admitting that the first position was lost. It's as though the two sides of the discussion aren't just in different spaces. They're in spaces of different topology. I'm trying to understand how this works but I'm not there yet.

Well, I just checked and it says I'm banned indefinitely.
