Trump Reinvestigates Clinton E-Mail

The Trump administration is investigating the email records of dozens of current and former senior State Department officials who sent messages to then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s private email.

As many as 130 officials have been contacted in recent weeks by State Department investigators — a list that includes senior officials who reported directly to Clinton as well as others in lower-level jobs whose emails were at some point relayed to her inbox, said current and former State Department officials. Those targeted were notified that emails they sent years ago have been retroactively classified and now constitute potential security violations, according to letters reviewed by The Washington Post.

I cannot figure out how retroactively classifying emails, then prosecuting people for having sent classified emails isn't ghoulish and ex post facto. Every lawyer type I know just gives me variations of, "Naw, it's what it seems. It's ghoulish and clearly ex post facto." I haven't even heard the contrary case at this point. Somebody has to be making it.

I'm going to be curious if the President has campaign rallies while the impeachment investigation is happening. Just in case anyone is paying attention. Our idiot President has been repeating the 4/chan (not making this up; he and his base are regularly duped by alt right agitprop originating on the website - you’re welcome, I’ve been balls deep on 4/chan since the Daytona and El Paso shootings) conspiracy that CrowdStrike, the folks that did the forensics on the DNC server that determined Russian hackers perpetuated the 2016 hack, covered up the Ukrainian government’s hackers who then pinned the job on the Russians. So, when Trump is asking for the server, he’s literally asking for the DNC’s server that was hacked, and he thinks Ukraine has it, and something something Biden or his son were part of the coverup.

Here’s the deal, though. We know Trump sucks Putin’s cock, hardcore parkour. I think he was sitting on that $400M because he’s doing Putin’s bidding (Russia doesn’t want Ukraine armed with equipment that can neutralize their mechanized armor) unless Ukraine can do one better, and get him that server so he can prove the CrowdStrike theories real, crush the Democrats in 2020, and stay in power. “Get me that server, and you get weapons and money.”

It’s literally an attempt at quid pro quo.

Sigh... “F”. This is as bad as it gets. I’m just wondering when Ukraine doesn’t give him the server, because they can’t because it’s damned retarded, if Trump and his GOP cronies will remove Russian sanctions and essentially ensure Russia keeps Crimea.

As I implied by the comment you copied above, it's going to get crazy out of control and there you've got evidence of it. I'd like to say that the man is completely losing his crap, but the truth is that I don't think he had crap to lose to begin with. I don't think any of this is real to him in terms of his ability to predict the real consequences of his own behavior. He demonstrates time and time again that he has no executive function and I think it's going to get far worse than any of us imagine due to the unpredictability of his conduct.

He's demanding to face his accuser. He doesn't understand the nature of a whistleblower complaint nor is he remotely willing to honor it and let it play out, and five'll get you ten that he's going to have people watching the comings and goings, looking for whomever the whistleblower is. The worst thing I can think of at the moment is that someone tries to get the whistleblower. And I mean get.

I'm not embellishing here. At all. And that's only the worst thing I can think of in immediate terms. We ain't seen nothing like the chaos about to come.

Is there any provision to put a sitting President on lockdown (like house arrest) where Pence is moved into position and President has to shut down his communication including his Twitter mouth, until the committees can deal with him? A 25th Amendment provision to shut him down and isolate him?

I mean it. Can they essentially lock him up temporarily if he's proven to be a loose canon?
