Ceeboo, responding to the Trinity, I’m a little puzzled. Your most recent post on this subject cited several verses that included references to the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. That’s three labels, but it isn’t the Trinity as described in Christian doctrine. The clearest description of the Trinity I’ve run into goes like this:

1. The Father is God.
2. The Son is God.
3. The Holy Ghost is God.
4. The Father is not the Son.
5. The Son is not the Holy Ghost.
6. The Holy Ghost is not the Father.
7. There is only one God.

Again, from what we know about the time following Jesus’s death, there were many competing theories about the nature of the relationship among the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Most were labeled heresies. One became canon. But that happened over a period of several hundred years.
