I just saw a thing. Some Fox News host going off on Trump for this decision. Hmmm...house of cards effect maybe. And the squirrelier Trump gets, the worse it will get.

It seems everyone in the GOP, from Mitch McConnell to Lindsay Graham. From FOX News to Meghan McCain... they're all blasting Trump over this. I've yet to hear anyone defend this as a sensible move.

I thought Republicans didn't criticize Trump for things they privately disagreed with because they were too afraid of his popularity.

Maybe, and I know this is crazy here, they don't actually disapprove that much of the stuff they stay silent on or vociferously defend with disinformation?

I think you're on to something.

Though once Graham and McConnell begin to criticize, it makes things much easier for the rest to follow in lock step.

This in and of itself creates a distraction from his recent crimes, so there is also that incentive to criticize.

They're all going on the R side of his crap impeachment list. He'll alienate the crap impeachment out of everyone until he throws up his hands and resigns. Then he'll blame them for it.

Hasn't the US abandoned the Kurds or some other middle eastern minority before?

In any event I haven't seen any libertarians except Dr. Shades speaking up on this.
And when the confederates saw Jackson standing fearless as a stone wall the army of Northern Virginia took courage and drove the federal army off their land.

Yes, the US has both failed the Kurds and other minorities in the Middle East before by not coming through on implied support. The Kurds were screwed over hard at the end of the Gulf War. No, there is no recent example in which the US persuades the Kurds to weaken their own defenses in exchange for security commitments, then backstabs them on those commitments on a sudden whim.

As a libertarian, I'm generally in favor of the US finding ways to ratchet down its presence in endless war, but also do not approve of Trump's recklessness that does significant long term damage to the US as a credible ally as it also risks entangling the US in further conflict.

I thought I saw that Rand Paul supported withdrawal of troops from Syria, but I’m not sure where I saw it.

Lou Dobbs is trying to desperately become the next Sean Hannity. I've never seen someone so obviously in the tank for another person. Look at him rail against a dozen Republican figures, calling them "damned fools" for daring to criticize Trump.
