Gabbard said the necessity of “safe, legal and rare” abortions was one of the rare things on which she agreed with Hillary Clinton. However, she said there should be restrictions in place so that abortions were not allowed in the third trimester “unless the life or severe health consequences of a woman are at risk."
Gabbard's position is very popular and that is what most Americans really want according to scientific polls.
You can count me as one of those Americans who fully endorses that point of view. The current Republican denial and belittlement of women's rights to have the deciding say in health issues concerning their own bodies is one of the most deplorable things about them. Particularly deplorable and incredibly offensive and stupid is the legislation passed in a few extreme red states in which women can be indicted and even arrested for suspicion of murder merely for having a miscarriage, which can occur in as much as a quarter of all pregnancies! These laws are being justly challenged in court now, but apparently the hope is that the current Supreme Court will reverse Roe vs. Wade and uphold these laws when eventually appealed to our highest court.
Imagine the injustice and cruelty of blaming and even jailing a woman, already emotionally devastated by an unwanted miscarriage, for having somehow caused the miscarriage!
No precept or claim is more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.

Umm, that's fine and dandy and all, but this is a discussion board, not a "post-the-news" board. So, what's your take on the matter?

In other words, she's for what's already happening as it is.

Whew! I'm glad we got that straightened out. I was worried sick over what Tulsi Gabbard's position on this particular topic is.
