Trump's reaction to crowd booing and "Lock Him Up" chant

Donald Trump no doubt went out to the 5th game of the World Series in Washington DC expecting to receive adulation from the assembled crowd for what he considered his earlier fantastic take down of the terrorist leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

The crowd's booing as his attendance was announced followed by chanting "Lock Him Up" let him know instead how America really feels about their Putin puppet president. Trump can be seen sobbing in a portion of the video tape of the event that the mainstream media mercifully cut.

I saw a still shot of him looking back with an expression of angst on his face. I don't know where I saw it.

The very WORST thing you can do to a narc is to make them experience shame. Write that down.

As a nurse with a psych background I saw something different.

Let us remember that Narcissus was not in love with himself. He was in love with a reflection of himself and committed suicide in front of Echo after he realized he could never be with that reflected image.

My college psych professor said he once asked an actual diagnosed narcissist what he would think about himself if he were alone on a desert island. The guy said "Who cares if there's no one else there?"

Narcissists aren't self absorbed. They're people that have an ego based upon what others "reflect" back on them.

One of Trump's biographers had a similar experience. He asked Trump what he thought about when he was alone in the morning getting ready to go into the office. He didn't get the question. Trump didn't seem to understand that people might have thoughts and feelings when other people weren't around.

Coming back to what I saw as a psych nurse, I saw elation then sadness. A total reflection, just like Narcissus.

There would be no source of narcissistic supply. Maybe animals. The narc if left alone on a desert island would likely disintegrate emotionally and psychologically because there would be no one else off which to feed.

The contempt reaction that I described would have been a response to the shame he felt when being publicly booed. I wasn't referring to the video that was posted. My statement was in response to the assertion that POMM made about Trump's delusion that he's popular with the majority.

Thank you for the stories and the insight. This is going to sound facetious, but I think what you are saying about narcissists is that they are a little like Tinkerbell, in their existence is truly defined by the opinion of others, that they have no sense of self.

It really explains why Trump's reality is the 'transactional now', and why his opinions are so malleable. He is constantly redefining himself in the moment, adjusting to the reflection he sees around him.
