All that was simply because I know how message board users operate: "When given an inch, take a yard." When I said that true art (as opposed to ludwigm's cartoon rape scenes) of the kind that would hang in the Louvre could be posted, the very first thing someone did was post a painting of a woman's spread-eagled vulva. So, since I want this site to be 100% safe for work, I had to reluctantly do what needed to be done.

In your estimation, the lady parts showing in Courbet's masterpiece, L'Origine du monde, are NSFW, but Smokey's vomitus below is. I don't get it, Shades. I'd probably have judged it the other way around.

BYU would simply place a cutout of a pioneer dress over the L'Origine du monde. Smokey's anti-Jewish illustration was not fit for either a work environment or a non-hatemonger message board environment.

I agree that "Smokey's vomitus" is even more obscene than a painting of a woman's spread-eagled vulva. How did someone who claims to be a faithful, believing Latter-Day-Saint acquire such obscenely vile and hateful bigotry against Jews? If holding and publicly advocating such an extremely vile and hateful bigotry in one's heart is not an excommunicable offense, it ought to be! I doubt that LDS general authorities would disagree with that! If I am not mistaken, people have actually been excommunicated for holding and expressing less innocuous views than that!

How do you think that might go over with you?

I would absolutely feel harassed. Hell, I sort of felt harassed when ludwigm posted that image openly on the board. I didn't feel as put upon, however, as I do with Smokey's cut-and-paste anti-Semitic and homophobic graphics and prose. His Jew-baiting is race pornography of the worst kind.

Dr Shades has made the decision that this forum should exclude any content which is NSFW 'Not Safe For Work', meaning any content, particularly visual content, which might cause embarrassment, or worse, if a colleague or a supervisor sees it on your screen at work.

That is a decision he has a right to make: Spirit Prison is there for people who want to post NSFW content, so free expression is still available. Now most people accept that displaying realistic pictures of male or female genitalia, or of sexual activity, would fall into the 'not safe' category. Dr Shades certainly does. So this forum is not the place for that.

But, Dr Shades - I address you directly - I think that in places where I have worked I would have encountered very considerable problems if a colleague or supervisor had seen any of the horrible antisemitic images of hook-nosed semi-demonic Jews that Smokey habitually puts on our screens. As a boss I would certainly give a clear warning to any subordinate that any repetition might have serious consequences, as would hateful caricatures of any other group that has been a historical victim of persecution.

So please will you be consistent, and let Smokey know that while he is free to post his images on this board, this forum is not the place to do that?
