Anyway, this blog post really mirrors a lot of my own thoughts on 4chan since the recent spate of shootings:

I don’t think civil war is a possibility these days, but I do think cyclical spasms of violence are definitely going to keep happening. I ab-so-lutley recommend reading the post above because it’s spot on.

At this time, I do not believe we are at risk for a civil war incited by national socialists. The idea I had wondered about that promoted the research was connection between PMCs and fascism.

A few points, should anyone disagree:

- militias are a growing phenomena, and all have some kind of anti-government sentiments, but racist factors vary with many being inclusive, and most are a home-school approach to scouting and an alternative to golf on Saturdays.
- fascist paramilitary in the US is unstable, grown from underemployment and drug addiction and united by online communities -- notably 4chan -- that bear all the kinds of personal problems that make them incompatible with military service or teamwork in general. Most "bring the civil war" rhetoric is in fact, from Internet addicts, and not anyone that has even gotten into a sucky paramilitary outfit.
- PMCs for the most part recruit from highly experienced military folks, and are financially driven. Though private security details are defensive, and do not routinely make use of elite skills, the greatest skill is internalized rules for how a military unit functions and works together -- again, group cohesion will be a problem for Internet trolls.
- An eyebrow raises wherever paramilitary meets real experience. For instance, Ukrainian or South American paramilitary, but there is no equivalent in the US. Prison experience is about as real as it gets.
- Even if the civil war did come and all the paramilitaries were united together, they have no real experience, and so the government would just hire a PMC outfit and the war would be over in an afternoon.

On the "I'm Jewish and I'd like to talk about white privilege' gif above.

Will someone kindly explain what Smokey's problem is? I mean, does he think that there are no white people who recognise that just walking around the street looking white is a major advantage over not looking white? (Like being considerably less likely to be shot when fleeing by policemen in many US cities, for instance?)

So why should there not be any white people who are Jewish Americans, or Irish Americans, or Italian Americans who recognise their relative privilege and state it? Who maybe criticise white people who don't?

Or am I the one with the problem by expecting Smokey's contributions to constitute some kind of a rational and consistent position?

Yes, I suspect that's it. We have had chatbots on this forum before. Now we have gifbots, it seems.

I think the confusion stems from all the tweets, posts, and academic thinking where a percentage of Jews (I have no idea what it would be, To be honest) sometimes include themselves as belonging to Whiteness (usually when crapping on it, though) and then sometimes separating themselves from Whiteness (usually when crapping on it).

Whatever power structure the Left has created in the moment typically defaults with:

White, wealthy, traditional, heterosexual, men

at the top, and are fair game for being absolutely ruthless with their insults, race-baiting, misogyny-baiting, whatever. They’re always guilty.

And by extension, Center and to the Right white men get roped into that hate. And then by extension non-White men get roped into it. So on and so forth as we work our way down the power-structure-of-the-moment.

The alt-Right seizes on the injustice of group guilt, of manufactured guilt. It uses it to recruit the aggrieved and disempowered and then ironically just flips the script. (((They))) took this or that from you.(((They))) stole your future. (((They))) turned women into hateful lesbians and men into queers. (((They))) hate you.

Ugh.

Instead of empowering young men, all this does is to continue making them into victims, their disempowerment, their othering to such an extreme they’re alienated from everything and everyone. The only thing left is for incels, ricecels, currycels, and whatever is their hateful bantering with one another, and their troll-larping online.

This is why we’ll see more guys flipping out. It’s inevitable, and smoke/pol/ should be viewed as a very real consequence of this kind of propaganda.

I don't mean to trivialize the issue. You are correct that it should be taken seriously and random acts of violence are guaranteed. I was specifically interested in the claim about civil war, and I had a couple ideas come into my head about how it might work out for the militias.
