Riiiight! Point well taken. What could possibly be less important than being concerned about the poor, starving, disenfranchised and unwashed masses who never get an even break?

It is somewhat encouraging, though, that both houses of congress voted to disallow this change, which means that a significant number of Republican Senators recognized its injustice, though not enough to override Trump's veto. I think and hope that there is a growing trend of Republicans becoming disenchanted with Trump, and even retiring or changing party affiliation out of disgust for what the Republican Party has become or is becoming due to Trump's pernicious influence.

What Trump has shown is that every single GOP politician is a spineless wimp. None of them have the balls to stand up to Trump. If they do, they become independent. If not, they go along with the party or retire.

I heard he was going to impose work requirements to qualify for Medicaid. What a scary world we live in! Asking people to find a way to contribute is so cruel. Doesn't he know that people are used to disability being a way to enjoy their life free of work for 6 and 7 generations now? You can't take that away. Bring back Obama!

I guess those in Louisiana are lucky to have Jon Bell Edwards reelected. The first thing he did was get rid of those annoying work requirements for food stamps.
