Star Wars NO SPOILERS!

Post by _Icarus »

Saw it last night.

There were a couple of scenes where Emperor Palpatine reminded me a lot of Lindsey Graham.

The emperor of the galaxy (or a significant part thereof I presume - haven't seen the film) is named after a hill in Rome?

OK, maybe the scriptwriters thought is was some kind of adjective meaning 'supreme', 'top-notch' or whatever.

Correction: Emperor PALPATINE. [MODERATOR NOTE: That link leads to severe spoilers!] You just spelled it wrong.

What a relief ... classical culture is safe.

That's the problem with this supernatural stuff, it doesn't really solve anything. It's a placeholder for ignorance.

Saw it, glad I did before spoilers for a couple of scenes. Overall a solid huh, a notch under ok. Had they not wasted the second movie and instead developed a few ideas in this one through two movies it could have been quite good.

good luck with your whole separation of reality from film fiction...apparently, the struggle is real. Sad that you can't distinguish life from tripe.

The movie won't do as well as Avengers.

I'm sure Disney will get over it.

I'm struggling to distinguish irony from farce here...

Right, but I don't recommend it. The director needs to be impeached.
