So, by way of ajax’s thinking, Trump’s leadership has seen an increase in the welfare state of the nation, with more ‘takers’ than ever before.
It must be why he never mentions this statistic, these days.

What has always confused me on these posts is this: does ajax believe that when you retire, you just never pay taxes again? Because I'm fairly sure that's not the case. If it is, I know a bunch of people who are due some pretty hefty refunds.

The confusion stems from assuming ajax knows what he's talking about and isn't lying (in any given post he writes).
God belief is for people who don't want to live life on the universe's terms.

The numbers are fake.
You need to look at real numbers.
For example:
1. record employment
2. Women now surpass men in the workforce!!! 50.4%!!!
3. Same numer out of work as in 2016
All of those things can't be real. Either boomers are retiring faster, or men are losing ground, or the numbers arent the same.

Like those claims by Trump during the 2016 campaign, of 40% unemployment, I suppose.

Jumping in here. One thing ajax consistently overlooks are the disabled and/or retired population that is working for FREE by providing services to their community.
I don't like to talk about these contributions much on here but here goes anyway.
JB who is a 100% disabled vet works two volunteer jobs. Every summer he grows veggies in a set of large raised bed planters and donates the first harvest to the food pantry he works in every week. Both are owned and operated by a local church. He's been doing this for years.
I quit my job almost 7 years ago. I never stopped working. I've provided support services online offering special needs modifications/accommodations for learning experiences to parents of children who are in spica casts and braces for short and long term periods. I also work on an adult forum for a different medical need.
This year I'm going back to work as a CVA (community victims advocate) working with children who are victims of domestic violence. I'll be giving away my experience and skill which so far as I am concerned I basically gave it away when I was being paid an unsuitable wage (even as admin) unless you count the speaking fees I commanded.
There is an entire volunteer workforce that ajax misses in his considerations. Many of us are contributing decades of experience and expertise for free to those in need.
Add to that, that we regularly donate money and materials to various causes mainly for disaster relief such as the Red Cross, Diaper Banks, etc. (the same stuff you see me publicize and push on this board) including private citizens, and this weekend I'll begin work on a project through the Animal Rescue Craft Guild with a child family member (who is also not gainfully employed) to sew pouches, wraps, etc. for bushland animals recovered from the fires in Australia. We'll be paying out of pocket for materials and shipping.
So. Just because we see a number attached to the unemployed, that doesn't mean the unemployed aren't working and contributing, and doing it at their own cost and ajax is wrong to overlook this portion of society.

I'd commend you for your volunteer work. There are people doing positive things with their time out there and no I don't talk about that enough.
I still don't think people should necessarily have a right to long leisurely retirements at the expense of younger generations. If you have enough money to retire than great. If you don't, you need to keep working as long as your able to do so. And everyone needs to be doing something even if your health doesn't allow you to continue in your chosen profession. Maybe one cannot work 18 hour days as he did when he was younger. Maybe he can only work part time. We still need to find a way to contribute and do what we can. I'm sure we can all think of something we'd rather be doing than working.
And when the confederates saw Jackson standing fearless as a stone wall the army of Northern Virginia took courage and drove the federal army off their land.

The numbers were fake then too. In fact the great recession was harder on men than the great depression. But since women worked their incomes supplimented a lost generation of men and boys.
The reason you don't hear about it often is feminism and propaganda. But it is there if you look.

that's why a certain class of people hate “tolerance and equality” because its really something else for them. Opression.
Copy that article if you want it. It will be unfindable soon. “He who controls the past”

Of course all three of those things can be true. Think about the differences between the generation entering the workforce today for the first time and those who are retiring, both in number and composition.
