You know, one can call it emotional and biased all they want, but there has never been a time (while I've been alive) when it was more important to be adamant about the truth.

Casually dismissing the way today's GOP talks as mere "lying, everybody does it" exposes how seriously one is miscalculating the current political climate. It's like saying an alcoholic "kind of likes drinking."

You cannot take the time to seriously consider what Republicans say. They are that full of crap. Their nonsense is far too ridiculous to deserve consideration, and giving it measured consideration is only validating it in a way it never deserved to be validated. It needs to be called out loudly and forcefully: you're talking BS. “F” off with your BS.

You want to have a debate over what to do about certain facts, great. Come back when you acknowledge some.

One of the more recent batches of trademarks were approved for his daughter -- a few days later, Trump announced seemingly out of nowhere that he was going to help Xi Jinping to help save ZTE (the Chinese telecommunications company).

How is Ivanka tied to ZTE...is there I direct connection? I googled it and couldn't find a direct connection? What I read is that this happened 2 years ago, is there a more "recent" direct link I am missing?

Thanks

Me too, but for as long as I can remember. Pork barrel is another scam as far as I am concerned, and the two are intertwined, it is just political black mail. These are two things that I would eliminate if I were king, but I am not sure how one would do that, and still keep a free (er) society.

I think it boils down to the integrity, which in politics is only a spoken word.

LOL...in my opinion Ajax is 100% correct in writing; " ...lol You're more blinded by your bias than those you accuse of this."

by the way, do you think swear words some how make your argument stronger? A real question.

I gave you a link where Biden admitted to a Quid pro quo with goverment money for the firing of a foriegn prosecutor that was looking into a company that his son had worked for, with absolutely no experience and was paid 83.3333 k a month.

Should this be ignored?

What do THOSE links and "just Google it" have to do with THESE claims?

1) Obama did what Trump is accused of, on camera?

2) Hillary did what Trump is accused of while SoS, and when called out said .."too Bad."

3) Biden did what Trump is accused of on the record, and called the person he strong armed a SOB, on the record. .

4) Warren lies over and over and over...

So, again, you make claims and daftly fumble around with some sort of whataboutism, but you don't provide sourced quotes that back up your claim, especially so in any sort CONTEXT to the ongoing conversation.

Jersey Girl,

A goldfish poster, within a given thread, will flit about with unrelated or tangential points with no seeming sense other than to argue a counter narrative. Goldfish posters also demonstrate no memory of a previous argument, other than an argument was made that supported a contextual point, but by the time they craft a response they’re off the reservation.

For example:

SS makes a thread about Hillary Clinton opening her trap which will weaken the primary process thus making Democrats vulnerable in November.

I ask a related question, and then answer his question with related bullet points; some serious and some silly, but all relevant to the thread.

Markk enters the chat an veers off on Russians, Hillary Clinton narcissism, Gabby would be fun to hang out with, moderates burying gold in the ground, taking umbrage with your correction, insulting someone with Mormonism, Hillary Clinton’s rottenness, wrongly claiming the 9th circuit court is Conservative majority now, Trump is getting things done, GOP is doing great, Supreme Court might get some more seats, draining the swamp, something something Adam Schiff, DNC goals, super bowl, provided a link on the 9th circuit he didn’t read, something about his life in SoCal, on and damned on for four pages.

He does this with every thread. It’s less organic evolution of the topic, and more being so all over the place with uninformed and erroneous opinions that people can’t resist taking the bait, and then we’re in this vortex you’ve talked about before. It’s akin to any thread that has to do with a minority, and it’s just a matter of time before Ajax the Mormon priesthood holder showing up and dropping some racial crap on us. It’s inevitable.

Yes it should be ignored after having been debunked a million times already.

1. Quid pro quo wasn't the crime Trump committed. Trump's crime exists with or without a quid pro quo. What Biden did was consistent with US policy at the time and had bi-partisan support in Congress. Trying to equate the Biden quid pro quo with Trump's illegal attempt to withhold Congressionally appropriated funds as leverage to get a foreign nation to provide him with campaign aid, makes you look like an idiot.

2. That prosecutor wasn't "looking into a company his son had worked for." In fact the reason everyone, not just Joe Biden, wanted him fired was because he was himself corrupt and wasn't prosecuting corruption.

3. His son wasn't making $83,000/month. He made "up to $50,000/month" which is not really unusual for a company that size. Burisma was trying to clean up its image so it appointed numerous people with high profile names, including Aleksander Kwaśniewski, former president of Poland, Karina Zlochevska, the 24 year old daughter of Ukraine oligarch Mykola Zlochevskiy and Joseph Cofer Black, former director of the Counterterrorism Center of the CIA during the Bush administration. Also on the board was Christina Sofocleous, a 25 year old college student at the time. Devon Archer, a former senior adviser to the John Kerry 2004 presidential campaign joined in 2014 and left in 2018.

Hunter Biden was 20 years older that several board members and he had experience as aboard member unlike the others. So this insinuation that something awry was going on because he was "inexperienced" and "overpaid" is just one that is based in ignorance.

Okay thanks for that. The vortex is real. That's why I tend to stay away from it. by the way, I don't think the vortex is intentional. I think he's a good guy. I just don't think he understands how to approach a topic or stay on it.

He resists guidance.

Almost every thread eventually goes off on a tangent. What he does is initiate tangents from the onset. (Smokey thread in Telestial a glaring example.) And on and on and on it goes.

It becomes tiresome.
