Haven't you heard/read the statement "There were never any death oaths in the temple" uttered/typed by a Mormon over age 49?
"Finally, for your rather strange idea that miracles are somehow linked to the amount of gay sexual gratification that is taking place would require that primitive Christianity was launched by gay sex, would it not?"

You'd think this would make him Hoover, but he's starting to get treated as FDR. You can't count on historical political trends in this particular information environment.
If you are a informed, well-read news follower, you're getting a detailed story of egregious failings of Trump, which is what I think makes them imagine they are being fair, but the headline and punditry level stuff doesn't paint that picture at all.
Yeah, it’s maddening. On the other hand, one thing that will help us right now is confidence in our leaders and institutions. His supporters originally followed his message of no big deal. If he isn’t able to turn that around, it will be incredibly damaging to large portions of the country, especially in rural areas where hospitals have been closing. The Trump were all know and not love is still there, evident in his childish use of “Chinese virus” and his lashing out at anyone who dares criticize him. I really don’t give a damn about the political fallout. I just want folks like you, your partner, and the nurse she supervise to get through this as best we can.

I think it's good that Trump has pivoted to encouraging his followers to take it seriously, but I don't agree with the rest. It's unlikely COVID and/or its economic effects will be gone as an issue requiring continued management in November. It matters who is in charge in 2021 and it matters that the public is informed about how Trump has actually behaved to make that decision. The media has been broken for years and that brokenness is manifest here. The worst of this, Dana Bash's punditry I linked upthread for example, is essentially an in-kind campaign contribution to Trump.
Beyond that, this might not be the only crisis we get in the next 5 years. Indeed, one of the other crises that is ongoing is encroaching right-wing authoritarianism on liberal democracy and another 4 years of Trump could very well be another 40 years of what he represents. There should be adequate political blame here where it is deserved communicated through responsible journalism.
Try posting that video of Trump admitting to disbanding the pandemic team. Facebook removes it as spam. This has happened several times since yesterday and then again tonight I posted an article where Kushner said Trump lies to his base because he thinks they're stupid and within an hour it was removed by Facebook.
This is huge. Facebook is censoring legit criticism of Trump now.

Huh. Go figure. A lot of people seem to be reporting this issue. I wonder what is going on. This coincides with them sending home a lot of their human moderators, so maybe it's related to that. I'd like to see more blue-chip reporting on it before jumping to conclusions.
Apparently both FEMA and the Army Corp of Engineers are still on stand-by in case the Trump admin orders them to do something. If only there was some kind of emergency happening they exist for.
In an alternative universe where this is 2013, Obama has taken meaningful action, but Republicans are whipping up lie-filled hysteria to take him down politically and trying to kneecap his response. Obama is ordering federal coordination on building up medical response surge capacity and conservatives are freaking out about FEMA death camps.
I have to go back fairly far in time before I think, "America would handle this well."

All kinds of groups are reporting it about different topic. I think someone’s algorithm is not ready for prime time.

What's the thing about giving every American (I think?) 1K dollars? Is that going to be a thing and how would they do that--use the tax records? Our SSN?
We don't need money. I'm just asking if that is feasible, how they'd do it and would that be a one time deal?
Would that stimulate the economy? Would it be a false effect in some way?
