Why? Do you have any evidence that she was lying? Dr. Ford wasn't going to stop a conservative judge from going to the Supreme Court. Dr. Ford has a respectable profession and she clearly wasn't after the money. You don't have to believe Dr. Ford, but why not just be neutral?
Just because Clinton had an affair doesn't mean he is a rapist. So what is your evidence? If Bill Clinton has an affair with an undocumented woman would that make him a predator? I understand it was not appropriate for the president of the US to have an affair with his secretary, but that is something else.
Bill Clinton has several women who have accused him of sexually harassing behavior they independently told people about around the time it occurred and an extremely well publicized instance of him lying about sexual harassment he committed. It's no reach to think he's probably harassed some women who have accused him. He has one rape allegation against him, and while that's harder to judge, it's understandable if you don't side with the person known for taking advantage of women and lying about his sexual improprieties.
The Trump situation is even worse in that he has even more women who have accused him of sexual assault with independently consistent stories about their experiences that in some cases they left an evidence trail of by telling others. They describe Trump's MO in a way that is similar to how he's behaved in other instances that don't involve assault allegations, such as his affair with Stormy Daniels. He also has the personality of a psychopath, and, you know, there's a tape of him confessing to some of the predatory behaviors he's accused of. Thinking he's innocent is in thinking OJ is innocent territory.
One of the things that got me about the Reade story was the Russian angle. At first, I only heard second hand that she had recently written some material in support of Putin before going public with an accusation against Biden. "So?" I thought. It's a bit of a reach to immediately conclude she's a Russian disinfo operation because of that, as I saw some people suggest. Then, only later, did I read the material. It's not that she praised Putin, exactly, but what she wrote (and later tried to scrub) was in the "dear glorious leader" zipcode of crazy-town that was a complete 180 from more normal-sounding stuff before. It's not that I'd worry that she's trying to bolster Russian ends here, but that it seems like the cheese is off her cracker. That, in of itself, doesn't cause me to dismiss her, but it did make me raise my eyebrow a bit. I think back on what I heard with the initial information and think those people were doing a disservice to the story. Again, that's not a basis to just discount her allegation, but what's going on there is more than her just seeming a little pro-Russian.
The first version of her allegation would seem quite plausible. It's in line with several other women have accused Biden of and what he's walked right up to the edge of doing in public on several occasions besides. That doesn't make him a Trump-level sexual predator, but it's certainly not something you'd prefer to have in your President. It's important not to just ignore that because it's imperative that Trump be removed from office.
