I just googled to see what the status of serum antibody tests is. I saw ads for such tests as being available now. I wonder if the Big news Trump alluded to this morning is FDA approval of these tests. That would be, as they say, a big damned deal.
Here’s a paper not yet peer-reviewed that reports an effective serum antibody tests. Fingers crossed.

RI there's a thing. Let me post the link. Maybe this could be part of it? If someone already posted this, ignore.

So that’s a different good thing. That’s a potential treatment for sick folks. It is possible that serum from recovered folks could also be used as a treatment.
The WHO is sponsoring what it calls a Solidarity Trial, where different nations will perform very basic trials on five different potential treatments. I can’t remember whether this treatment is one of them. The US wasn’t one of the participating countries as of a few hours ago, but that could have changed.

The thing is, is if we all learn to just stay put we're flattening the curve and buying time for our hospital and health care workers, for government, for researchers and ultimately for ourselves.

I think Lou’s angling for a sweet, sweet medal of freedom. How you feeling tonight, EA?
