When I mentioned we weren’t getting accurate data it was clearly in the context of massively undercounting carriers and those who’ve been diagnosed, in addition to deaths. What’s astounding to me is how you have the Internet at your fingertips and yet you seem to be parroting idiot talking points by quacks, partisans, and the insane who think this is all a hoax, or overblown, or nbd, or that the “weak” need to be culled. Additionally, the GOP nor the President have explained how we’re going to pay for all of this, which for the Party of Fiscal Responsibility, seems out of character.

That story reminds, with the "our freedom doesn't end where your fear begins" reasoning, is that some people just seem incapable of conceptualizing the risk of the virus as anything other than a risk of infection to themselves. Hey, it's a personal choice if you want to risk getting infected, right? Only, the infection doesn't necessarily end with them. If they get infected, they might infect someone else through no choice of their own. Their choice to expose themselves is a choice to expose others, quite likely against their will. There's no legal mechanism to penalize them for this after the fact. You can't sue someone for infecting you with coronavirus. They want all of the freedom, and none of the responsibility.
