Okay Homer, I believe you. Some Schmo wrote: ↑Mon May 11, 2020 4:05 amI've been shaving my head for about 16 years. I honestly can't remember the last time someone else cut my hair. My scalp has a tan.

Don't forget to sunscreen your head.

Re: Lockdown Hair
I’ve been growing mine out, so the lockdown came at a good time for me. I forgot how painful long hair can be. For a while there, it would get caught up in the seat belt retractor, but I guess it is long enough now that that doesn’t happen. I’m going for the Little Mermaid look.

It gets more necessary with every passing year, in fact.
When I get a bit shaggy, I start to get uncomfortable about it. I way prefer a shaved head at this point.

I wear hats in the sun, usually. The tan is just from years of exposure.Jersey Girl wrote: ↑Tue May 12, 2020 1:50 amOkay Homer, I believe you. Some Schmo wrote: ↑Mon May 11, 2020 4:05 amI've been shaving my head for about 16 years. Seriously, though, I was totally built for a pandemic. I've always been somewhat of a loner, even though I have no problem in social situations (except that I tire of them quickly). I self-groom. I wash my hands obsessively. A show has to be really important to me for me to leave my house to see it. I've always been suspicious and wary of restaurants; I don't miss them at all. I've never been a touchy-feely person around people I am not intimate with (these people that go around hugging everyone they meet kind of wig me out). I kiss nobody on the mouth but my wife, and my daughter only on the forehead or cheek.
I'm a pandemic surviving machine.

And I should point out that by using Homer as my avatar, I'm slightly misrepresenting myself. I'm not sporting as much hair as he is.

Last time I went in a barber shop was about 1965. I hated it. They always put this awful greasy stuff in your hair and I didn't like the way it looked. I decided perhaps a decade later that If other could cut hair I could give it try. Been using my own scissors for a long time now. snip snip snip.
