Well lessee, he's already badgered the mayor of Minneapolis (not the police department), threatened to take over the National Guard and start shooting rioters. Other cities are erupting so what's he going to do, do you think?

People are already stressed out of their minds over the lock down, job loss, threat of illness/death. They've seen a man murdered by a cop on camera. This is more than people can rightly take.

I think we're in big trouble here.

The line between "full on" dictator and the present is fairly blurry and, in the end, you'll not be able to point to a moment when the US tipped over into "full-on" dictatorship as that occurs stepwise on a continuum. Barring a few exceptions, the bright lines drawn on democratic collapse in other nations end up being arbitrary.
