gemli did IT work at a Roman Catholic college. He also claims to have created a little program for libraries to keep track of books on loan. And he also has claimed to have some books by at least the so-called "new atheists." He may have read some of them. But intellectual history? Never?
Hence all that gemli blather about thousands of Gods and hundreds of religions (with that vague word undefined, of course) in which each contradicts all the others in every possible way. Where is his evidence? Of course, one does not need evidence when one merely worships science.

And, since gemli did IT work for a living, he ought to have been able to google White to discover his credentials. Could we conclude that gemli gives atheism a bad name?

It's absolutely shameful: it amounts to a kind of "cyber-minstrelsy."

Somewhat reminiscent of when Maori Kemara and Sista Soul showed up on the old MAD board thread Apostle of Color to do battle with God is My Refuge. It made sense at that time as an apologetic weapon. Kevin Graham and others thought that Kemara was actually Pahoran and Sista Soul was a friend of Juliann. Anyway, the designated mission at that time was to show that God did not wish there to be a person of color in the Brethren.

Analytic philosophers aren't big on "intellectual history". Wittgenstein didn't rely on Aquinas any more the Gemli does. Wittgenstein owned a few Western novels and that's it, and he tried to tell his friends to resign from academia. Given Coach P. is an "avowed anglophile", you'd think he and his buddies could combat Gemli and toe the right party line at the same time. Perhaps Gemli could benefit from a primer here and there on his topics of interest, but a deep dive into historical thought while valuable for its own sake, is not prerequisite for the kind of theorizing at home at Oxford.

Ironically, the approaches to theorizing at home within the New MI; Critical Theory, Deconstruction etc., take the literary approach that Midgley recommends.

When Professor Peterson blogs about Islam, which I very much appreciate, I always learn new things. Whenever Moksha comments on such matters, he always emotes, and hence also seems uninterested in or unable to learn.

Could this be the product of Moksha being socialized on the rabid Shades board? Please note that Shades has boasted that he teaches his inmates "correct principles" and they then govern themselves. I think Shades wrongly flatters himself about what he teaches, encourages and exemplifies, or at least tolerates. We have recently learned much about his own ideology, and disposition, by noting what he upvotes.

However, it is more likely that Shades is not responsible for the amusing and disgusting performance of Moksha, and others who emite on his board. Instead, he merely attracts those already of a certain disposition.

Midgley is like Donald Trump, he always attacks those who make the powerful points against his stance on all subjects. Moksha refutes Midgley at every turn, and so in Midgley's childish snotty Mormonism he lashes out and attacks the one who can stand toe to toe with him and show how utterly inane he really is. Moksha bests Peterson and Midgley constantly, it is why they attack him, and invent all kinds of things to refute him which just don't stick. Moksha owns them. The dynamic duo (no not Batman and Robin, Donald and Mike wannabes) is no match for Superman Moksha.
