OK, DT. Explain to me why this is racist. I'm very interested in your explanation.
You tell me. Just think about it.
I can't tell you. This is yet another beautiful example of you reading something and superimposing your own crazy thoughts over what you've read to reach a fallacious conclusion.
No they don't because he's a hondureno. Your written English is darn near perfect Schmo. It's hard to believe it's your second language. It'd be interesting to hear you speak some time.
My parents spoke English well, and I had a good education. I'm extremely lucky.
Frankly, I only complain about society and culture on this forum (I've tried others... this is the only one that's stuck). I was telling Jersey Girl the other day that in reality, my life is pretty damn good. My rants are all rooted in concern over what's happening in this country. But when I'm honest with myself, I have to admit I still love the US.
I'm not sure I'm really even complaining about Americans themselves as much as shared BS embedded in the culture. It's narratives and memes that damned annoy me more than the people who participate. The vast majority of Americans I meet seem like genuinely decent people.
I'm sure I spend too much time focusing on the extreme assholes.
There's no ____ way this guy's a doctor. I doubt he could land a job as a garbage collector. The real reason he's against immigrants is because he actually is in competition with them for jobs... picking lettuce or something. Makes more sense, anyway.

That is what you do all the time! I am just giving you the same treatment. Nice try, but I rarely make fallacious conclusions when I quote the research. I am right about 95% of the time.
That is not what you said, let me quote you again.
Yeah, I know what I said. You tell me how that is racist.
It's (partly) commentary on how farm labor is underpaid, which I suspect might be partly due to farming businesses getting away with underpaying folks from other countries who haven't naturalized yet. Maybe if we gave these workers a path to citizenship, it would force higher wages, and it wouldn't be as much of a problem for everyone working in the industry. They wouldn't be paid like second-class citizens. Just a wild guess there.
But yes, I'm sure I'm being unknowingly racist somehow. Please explain.
