They are particularly problematic for the Trump campaign because they directly appeal to Republican voters. Whether Trump likes or admits it or not, there are fewer registered Republicans now than registered Democrats. Because of that, he would have lost in 1916, were it not for the electoral college system. If he loses any of his current base, it is unlikely that even the electoral college system will save his reelection in November, especially not without successful, massive and illegal voter suppression. Some Schmo wrote: ↑Fri Jun 05, 2020 4:50 amI freaking love the Lincoln Project's political ads. They certainly can't hurt.Gunnar wrote: ↑Fri Jun 05, 2020 4:46 amIt sure seems that way. There are still some somewhat reasonable conservatives available, like George Conway (Kellyanne's husband, ironically), Rick Wilson, Steve Schmidt and the other members of the Lincoln Project, but they are unfortunately (for the most part) not currently involved in prominent government decision making.
These guys are former strategists for the GOP. Good to have them fighting on the side of truth (and they do understand how to fight in politics). It's the only hope for the ultimate survival of the GOP.

Trump was OJ level guilty of the Impeachment charges yet Moscow Mitch declared, "If the handcuffs don't fit (should have ordered a smaller size) you must acquit".

Graphic video of 75 year old man being shoved to ground and immediately begins to bleed out of his ear.

Man, I'm really trying my best to see this issue from both sides. We need law enforcement. I don't see any long term benefit in implying all cops are corrupt or should be fired.Icarus wrote: ↑Fri Jun 05, 2020 11:42 amGraphic video of 75 year old man being shoved to ground and immediately begins to bleed out of his ear.

But you see crap like this... damned asshole knocked him down, saw he was bleeding and just walked away. I'm finding it harder and harder to believe most cops want to serve their communities and aren't on a mini power trip.

As far as the hundreds (thousand+ now?) of videos of recent police aggression go, I don't think this one is even above average in terms of how bad it is. At least the old man was trying to confront an advancing line, though obviously there was no need to rough up an elderly man.
Here's a converse video involving an irate person trying to start a fight with protesters:

Police eventually just kindly escort him away, which is a thing that is often possible to do.

There's a video of a 16 year old being shot in the head by a police officer with a rubber bullet for just standing there. The teen immediately collapses (it's graphic) and is currently in critical condition with a fractured skull and brain injury.
"Rubber bullets" are bullets covered in rubber to make them blunt force impact weapons. They're use is supposed to be fired at the ground to ricochet and repel crowds, but as is often the case with non-lethal weapons, police quickly found other use cases.
The officer should be charged with a serious offense carrying a prison sentence. In actuality, a paid suspension might be asking too much.

So, Barr claims that organized Antifa are attacking, and here’s the unsurprising result in my state. https://www.peninsuladailynews.com/crim ... of-antifa/ Keep it up, Barr, and the 2nd amendment folks will start shooting at strangers.
