Re: Biden vs. Trump
Colin Powell says he will be voting for Joe Biden. Also says Trump is a danger to America, lies too much and has not been an effective leader.

So, that's Powell, George Bush, Mitt Romney, and some Generals. “F” Trump.

George Bush is the most unpopular president in history, Trump must really be happy that Bush is not supporting him.

Re: Biden vs. Trump
I hold Bush 45 responsible for the Iraq war, which I thought was a mistake. I hold him partially responsible for the financial meltdown, but I think a lot of Treasury people who should have known better also let him down. So yes, the biggest mistakes of the first decade of the 21st Century belong to George Bush.DoubtingThomas wrote: ↑Sun Jun 07, 2020 8:56 pmGeorge Bush is the most unpopular president in history, Trump must really be happy that Bush is not supporting him.

Donald Trump has not gotten the Unites States into a war like Bush. He has dismantled the State Department, the EPA, filled his administration with corrupt and incompetent cronies and fires the inspector generals in charge of oversight. Donald Trump is literally a laughingstock all over the world, an object of scorn and derision.
How does he govern? Like a testosterone-fueled 14-year old boy. On Friday he sent out TWO HUNDRED tweets and re-tweets. Really think about that, DT. Think about the amount of time and energy it takes to send out 200 Tweets. This is the way the most powerful man on earth thinks he should spend his time during this incredibly crucial period in American history.
Put it this way: If you had a teenage daughter who tweeted 200 times a day to the point where it was interfering with her work, would you consider limiting her phone privileges? Does this strike you as a self-professed very stable genius? As a competent executive using time management effectively?
If Presidents are graded on the curve, Donald Trump has made most previous presidents look Washingtonian in comparison.

Isn't it incredible that any, even halfway rational observer, knowing these easily demonstrable facts about Donald Trump would regard him as a stable, effective leader?MeDotOrg wrote: ↑Mon Jun 08, 2020 7:44 amDonald Trump has not gotten the Unites States into a war like Bush. Be honest, Trump fans, if given these facts about any random, unnamed individual (especially the 200 tweets per day), is there any way you could possibly avoid concluding that the individual must be an unstable, ineffective loser if you didn't know his name was Donald J. Trump?
No precept or claim is more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.

It is also striking that he has the time and leisure to send out this many tweets in one day. If each tweet takes him 3 minutes from initial conception to sending, that makes 600 minutes - ten hours's work.MeDotOrg wrote: ↑Mon Jun 08, 2020 7:44 amHow does he govern? If he has that much time to spare during a day as President, then allowing for meals and toilet breaks it looks like he is virtually uninterrupted for the whole of a long working day. So what happened to the aides arriving with reports on the latest situation? Reading those reports? The meetings with his top officials to take their views on the way things are developing and on possible courses of action? In other words. what happened to being President?
It's looking worryingly as if he has managed to free himself entirely from the burdensome aspects of his job (for which perhaps just read 'his job') and by sacking competent staff and bullying the rest he has managed to get them to leave him alone to do his favourite things: watching cable news, slurping coke, chomping cheesburgers and tweeting up a storm.

tl;dr - Supposed frontrunners for Biden Veep are three black women. Harris, Demings, Bottoms. I can’t see it being Harris. I think I saw that she polled poorly with black folks, particular in the South. Bottoms has a nice something about her. I can’t put my finger on it, but she seems very relaxed in front of the camera, so maybe that’s it. *shrugs*
