Ajax would do well to modify the OP to make it clear he is just copying a piece from Breitbart, and that nothing in the OP is his own words. I'm sure that the piece resonated with him since it seems to be one of the major themes on right-wing outlets and Twitter postings.

This idea the Coronavirus outbreak is a manufactured crisis was the immediate response we heard from Fox and Trump...right up to the point so many people were dying it couldn't be ignored. Now, with two months of stay at home orders in place having reduced the infection rate and hospitals having ramped up capacity and preparation so we aren't seeing people being triaged into the, "Sorry we can't help you" category, the sight of public uprisings in face of systemic racial injustice has sent them back in time to the end of February. March - May never happened. It was all a hoax attempting to take American freedoms and destroy the economy so Trump won't win reelection. The protests are just cover for violent terrorists who hate democracy, God, and country to further destabilize society - all with the aim of making Trump look bad.

This of course justifies Trump doing things that actually would result in damage to democracy and restricting fundamental rights and freedoms...but he's doing it to protect them and their right to a wall between the US and Mexico so it's all good. He isn't coming for their guns, he's encouraging them to use them to protect themselves so it isn't that kind of government overreach that they argue we need guns for in the first place...see?

This has got to be a theme in the media he's consuming. He wrote something similar in response to me even though I've written the most posts on this board expressing concern about the protests as being vector for COVID spread, exacerbated by police response. He had a gotcha stereotype on mind, invented positions for me both on stay-at-home orders and protests, then attacked me for it.

It's not as though there's no attempt at relief in this circumstance in the US, but have you looked at how basically every other Western democracy approached government orders that temporarily put people out of work? Your presupposition underneath this that an order to shut down is an order to be left adrift at sea is just incorrect.

1. According to Icarus the protesters are wearing masks so the protests don't really increase the spread of Covid. I think you're smarter than that Honor.

I am not aware he said that, but research is showing masks do have a real reduction in transmission capability of the virus. They are also finding the eyes are a good place to get infected by covid 19 and that face shields are effective in reducing infection rates. Goggles and glasses also help. While I would suggest people stay away from large crowds I understand why they are protesting. Since many are trying to distance as they can, and they are in a more open environment and usually wearing things like masks and goggles, it will be interesting to see how this plays out with the transmission rates of the virus. I suspect you will see increases as a result of the protests.

Fauci has been one of the few good voices in the Trump administration. The main reason every country has been shutting down part of their economies is the bring transmission rates below 1 so the number of overall cases drops and gives countries time to better prepare people and businesses to social distance, and build up it's testing and contact tracing abilities. This way when we start to reopen transmission rates can be keep low due to businesses creating better environments to lower spread and changing people behaviors to lower spread. One of the most important ways to keep this virus under control is massive testing abilities, which all countries lacked, and contact tracing to stop or significantly slow outbreaks. Only countries that have great testing and contacting tracing abilities will be able to keep most people from getting the virus until we have a vaccine. So far the US is still not there.

I'm curious Ajax. If they come up with a vaccine do you plan on taking it?

Being outdoors in summer weather wearing a mask probably helps substantially over default risk. Being in tight crowds, shouting, and getting tear gassed probably isn't great.
