I consider myself to be a good, if not astute, observer.

--You cannot override the auto correct that changes names.
--You cannot override the censor mode.
--You can't see the lower forums from outside of the board.
--There's no way to tag someone's post to send a PM to them about whatever it is in their post you'd like to comment on privately, though I tend not to do that if I'm involved in the discussion itself.
--The "Who is Online" feature is disabled. Which pains me in a way that I cannot describe because I watch it like it's my obsessive job.
--In order to see who is on the Admin team you have to use an obscure button below.
--The search feature is out the window entirely.
--My avatar is gone and so is my Location-Off the Deep End gone and my fancy status that I had.
--harmony is still listed as moderator and she hasn't posted here for years.

We're in a s-hit hole country over here. Kind of matches the state of the world though. Wait. Is Trump the new Temp. Admin. or are we victims of the Deep State?

You are correct on all counts. None of this was on purpose, though.

One of us is doing his best to fix these issues.

Heyyyy baaaaaby. How you doin'?

I assume that when you say I am correct on all counts, you are copping to your on-going torture of me?

Hi Some Schmo,

If you are unable to resist using foul language, please just type the word out regularly and let the word censor do its job.

Thank you.
Shades, did you deliberately take away our ability to turn off the censor and autoreplace so we lost the option to see posts exactly as their authors intended them? Up to this point I was assuming it was due to some other functionality problem being worked out. But if this is deliberate...dude.

I just saw that note in the other thread, and I suppose I assumed he thought he'd fixed the issue and we could go back to posting as usual. Given your question, I now suddenly see the word "censor" as potentially literal.

Like everywhere, the freedom-respecting spirit of the board only exists by expressed resistance to the authoritarian impulses of leadership to make the community in their own image.

Not at all. That was an unfortunate side effect of a PHP upgrade by the server not being reverse-compatible with the software of the board we're using. Many bugs are being experienced, NONE of which I'm happy about.

It most definitely is *NOT* deliberate.

Good to hear it's a bug and not a choice.

So...as far as Schmo bypassing the censor...is it really an issue?

Do you mean with the nudity of his avatar? It is like the avatar is running toward Ajax and LDSfaqs with lovin' on its mind.

I wonder if temp.admin will address this.

I'm also annoyed that "B-T-W" (without dashes) gets converted to "by the way" whether it appears at the beginning of a sentence or not. In an attempt to avoid an acronym, Shades introduces a capitalization issue. Way to go, sport.
